Curtis was adamant but Garvin discerned something wrong and asked him, “Is it because you will miss your friends”

Curtis nodded his head and lowered it. Garvin sat beside him and embraced him warmly before saying,

“Son, even if you don’t leave today, you will not see the same people in your school in the next five years. Some would equally leave you by changing schools like you are doing, or travel elsewhere.”

“You will still have to change school at some point just like all your friends, be it now or tomorrow but it's still normal to miss people you have spent a lot of time with.”

“So why don’t you use this opportunity to see them for the last time? Some of them, you will meet again but for others, you might never see them again after today and there is nothing anyone can do about it. It's all part of life.”
