"Elara."

Marcus gently steers me into the narrow supply alcove, away from the corridor where nurses move between patients and conversations travel faster than people. The door swings shut behind us, muting the noise outside.

"I need to tell you something before you hear it somewhere else."

One look at his face and I already know.

"Ronan."

"Yes." He holds my gaze without looking away. "The engagement commitment went through the pack administrative office this morning. It's on record. Confirmed.

"Elara."Marcus gently steers me into the narrow supply alcove, away from the corridor where nurses move between patients and conversations travel faster than people. The door swings shut behind us, muting the noise outside."I need to tell you something before you hear it somewhere else."One look at his face and I already know."Ronan.""Yes." He holds my gaze without looking away. "The engagement commitment went through the pack administrative office this morning. It's on record. Confirmed. Circulating." He hesitates for the smallest moment. "It's real this time. Not a rumor."The words don't hit like a punch. They settle.Heavy.Final.I lower myself onto a supply crate because suddenly my knees don't seem interested in holding me up.Marcus crouches until we're eye level. He doesn't touch me. Doesn't offer empty reassurances. He simply stays there, giving me room to breathe. It's the kindest thing anyone's done for me all day."How long has it been circulating?""Since this morni

  • Pregnant After My Triplets Mate Rejected Me   Chapter 96: Rafe's Pov

She doesn't come to the door. I didn't expect her to.Mira's light is still on. It always is at ten..... she's the only one in this whole situation who'll give me the full picture instead of the version she thinks I need.I knock twice, quiet. Mira opens the door, reads my face for a second, and steps back to let me in.The cottage is quiet. Landon's asleep. Elara's upstairs..... awake, not coming down. I can feel that much through the bond.Mira puts the kettle on without asking. We sit at the table until the tea's poured, and then she says, "Tell me."So I do. Kyle's arrival. The ultimatum. What Ronan decided, and why. The protection clause. The rooftop conversation. Ryker finding out from Elias. The confrontation after. She listens with both hands around her cup, not interrupting once. When I finish, she says, "He's not wrong that the guarantee matters.""No," I agree. "He's not.""And he's not wrong Father's recall would've left them exposed.""No.""And he's completely wrong to h

  • Pregnant After My Triplets Mate Rejected Me   Chapter 94: Ryker's POV

"Alpha Ryker." Elias stops in my doorway, and I know before he says another word that I'm not going to like this. "There's something you need to know.""Say it.""Ronan went to the Kane estate. Met with Victor directly. There's a preliminary commitment document...signed.""Signed when.""Six hours ago."I don't say anything for a second. "Give me the room, Elias."He goes.I find Ronan in his room. He looks up when I open the door, and he doesn't look surprised which tells me everything. He's been sitting here since he got back, waiting for this exact conversation."Six hours," I say."I was going to tell you tonight.""Tonight." I step inside, shut the door. "You signed a legal document committing yourself to marry Vivian Kane, without telling me or Rafe, and your plan was to mention it *tonight*?""The protection clause for Elara and Landon is ironclad. The document's preliminary. Victor needs optics more than substance." He holds my gaze. "I made a call.""You made a call." I move

I go to Victor Kane at noon. Not because I've run out of options — Rafe gave me four options last night and Ryker would have given me six if I'd told him what Father said, which I haven't yet, because telling Ryker first means Ryker takes over and this specific thing I need to do myself.I go because I have thought about it since two in the morning on a rooftop and through breakfast and through the hour I spent sitting in the hotel lobby watching Silverveil go about its day, and I have arrived at the same place each time.Father is right that the guarantee matters. Not the marriage. The guarantee. Elara and Landon, protected, regardless of what happens with the alliance and the Council and Kyle Blackthorn's ultimatum. If I can get that guarantee locked into a formal commitment document before anything else changes — before Father's week is up, before Victor finds a new angle, before Vivian does something else desperate — then the rest is manageable. Then the rest is just legal and pol

  • Pregnant After My Triplets Mate Rejected Me   92: That Laugh.

I find her through process of elimination. The hotel is eight minutes from the clinic on foot. The clinic closes at five. She takes the residential road home rather than the market road — I know this because I made it my business to know, the way I make everything my business, because information is the only currency that has never failed me in sixty-two years of building and holding power. She comes out of the clinic at five-twelve and turns right.I follow at a distance that a trained operative would call surveillance and that I am going to call observation, because the distinction matters to me even when it matters to no one else. She walks quickly. Not hurried — there is a difference. Hurried is reacting to something external. Quick is her natural pace, the pace of someone whose mind moves faster than their surroundings and whose body has learned to keep up. She has her clinic bag on one shoulder and her coat collar up against the cold and she checks her phone twice without breaki

  • Pregnant After My Triplets Mate Rejected Me   91: The Father Who Started It.

Mom texts me at nine-fifteen.*The triplets' father arrived this morning. Kyle Blackthorn. Unannounced. I heard it from Mrs. Osei who heard it from the hotel staff. Thought you should know.*I read it twice. I put my phone face down on the clinic counter. I pick up the chart for my next patient and go to room two.The patient is a young beta with a sprained wrist from a training accident. Straightforward. Twenty minutes. I wrap it cleanly, give him the aftercare instructions, and send him on his way. I do not think about Kyle Blackthorn for the entire twenty minutes—which is a lie, but a functional one.At lunch I sit in the break room and let myself think about it properly.Kyle Blackthorn.I know the name the way you know the names of things that have shaped your life without ever appearing in it directly. Ryker mentioned him—in Chapter 9 of this story that I have been living—as the man who pushed the original rejection. Who gave his sons an ultimatum when they were twenty-two years

  • Pregnant After My Triplets Mate Rejected Me   CHAPTER 6: We need to talk.

Chapter 6“Mom, I don’t want to go back if they’re just going to make me say sorry for something I didn’t start.”Landon’s voice was small but edged with frustration as I helped him into his school uniform. My fingers paused on the buttons of his shirt, the bruise on his cheek still faintly visible

  • Pregnant After My Triplets Mate Rejected Me   Chapter 5: Our lost one

Chapter 5Ryker’s POV The scent of her still clung to the inside of my nose like smoke after a wildfire—sweet wild honey, soft vanilla, and that faint trace of defiance that had always driven me insane. Six years, and one accidental collision in a school hallway had ripped open every scar I’d trie

  • Pregnant After My Triplets Mate Rejected Me   Chapter 2: Who is my Father

Chapter 2“Mom… why doesn’t my dad want me?”The question hit me like a silver bullet to the chest. I froze in the middle of chopping vegetables, the knife hovering above the cutting board as my six-year-old son, Landon, stood in the doorway of our cozy kitchen, his small backpack still slung over

Chapter 1“You belong to us tonight, little omega. Try not to scream too loudly.”The words still burned in my ears as I shoved open the heavy oak door of our small cottage, the night air clinging to my skin like a second, filthy layer. My legs trembled with every step, thighs aching, core throbbin
