What is Derek doing here? I wondered as I saw him. How could he come into my chamber?

Agreed that the place was his territory. His home. But his father has asked me to stay here till the time that I stay in the palace.

He has no right to invade my private space.

"I want to see you, Mel."

Mel?

Did he call me Mel?

With what right did he dare to call me that?

"I want to talk to you," he smiled.

His smile disgusts me so much that my stomach churns. I felt the need to puke.

"I only want to see you and explain....."

"I don't want to see your face!" I yelled before he could finish what he was about to say.

He kept coming closer like he was about to touch me. I stepped back, but he came further.

"Do not touch me!" I screamed and tried to push him away, but my hands hung in the air as my wolf suddenly cried, 'Mate'

Mate?

I looked around in search of my supposed mate, but there was no one there except Derek and me.

What is this?

Why is Joanne referring to Derek as my mate?
