Mila’s POV…

Sharing a room with Zaden on a stormy night was not in any of the scenarios I laid out perfectly in my head. In fact, the entire evening was not the exact turn of events I expected.

“You know among all the things I discovered about you today, the most shocking of them all was finding out you have a pet”.

“We found him when he was a pup in the shelter, his mother's previous owner was abusive, and animal control saved them both. He was so small when we adopted him “.
