Chapter 2

|| SILVIA STUART's POV ||

All of it made sense to me. I knew those burning brown eyes. My father taught me how to differentiate among werewolves. The man's aura was already giving the vibe of the head of the pack. 

I stuttered, fear crippling into my heart,

" What.. what did he..do? My father.. won't kill anyone innocent."

It was the belief that held my heart. My father used to tell us that they were the beasts who harmed people. He was saving the humans by killing those werewolves. The Alpha spat, rage flashing in his eyes,

" HE KILLED MY MATE AND MY UNBORN CHILD."

The news stunned me. My father was a never cruel man and trusting a werewolf never crossed my mind. I shook my head, refusing to believe,

"I'm.. Impossible.."

The Alpha outstretched his hand to me, his cold fingers came in contact with my jaw as he forced me with a snarl,

" SEE IT BY YOURSELF!"

As confused as I was, I was suddenly attracted like a magnet in his eyes. Visions started to play in his eyes and I was lost in it. My heart thumped wildly when I saw my father in his vision, carrying a strange gun which I had never seen before. My father was arguing with a woman in the vision. From her big bump, it was obvious that she was pregnant. Their argument heated up and I noticed my father, reaching for his gun secretly. I let out a cry before the vision ended,

" DAD!! NO!!!!"

He aimed the gun at the pregnant girl and shot a few times at her belly. A horrified scream passed my lips when I saw that pathetic scene. The vision ended and I fell to the ground, crying loudly.

How could my father do this to a pregnant girl?

The Alpha continued speaking in a voice of disgust, sneering down at me,

" Not only that! He has planned with the witch and put a curse on me. I can never find a mate again."

He grabbed my head suddenly, asking with an animalistic growl,

" TELL ME! HOW DO PLAN TO REPAY ME?"

I was wordless. Nothing could repay him. The cruelty that my father showed here was beyond any humanity. I cried harder then lifted my eyes before whispering to the Alpha,

" Kill me! A life for a life!"

His man's voice joined, their murderous eyes watching me with disgust,

" Kill her, Alpha. She doesn't deserve to live."

The Alpha was oddly silent, his hooded eyes staring down at me with intensity. I had already submitted myself to my fate. They wouldn't let me go after what happened to his mate.

The Alpha let out a cruel laugh, sneering at my words,

" Kill you? DO YOU BELIEVE THAT IT'S ENOUGH TO PAY FOR THE PAIN THAT I AM GOING THROUGH?NO, LITTLE KITTY. THAT'S NOT ENOUGH FOR ME. I WANT TO SEE YOU SUFFER JUST THE WAY MY MATE SUFFERED BEFORE DYING. I WANT TO SEE YOU GOING THROUGH THE SAME PAIN. SOMETHING WORSE THAN DEATH..."

I fell into confusion as his words echoed in the room. Even his men looked at him suspiciously. I replied murmuring,

" I..I don't understand..."

He spat with a sinister smile, eyeing me from head to toe,

" You will die by giving birth to my child."

My eyes went wide in shock, his men gasped as well, staring at their Alpha. I refused at once, clutching my clothes,

" NE.. NEVER..I am not afraid of death but..I am not going to give up my dignity for you."

He snorted with a mocking laugh,

" Please! Did you think that I was going to touch my enemy's daughter? BULLSHIT!"

He continued, leaning onto my face,

" You are going to be my surrogate, Silvia Stuart. Since I can't have a mate, it is the only way to run down my legacy. Humans can't give birth to werewolves. It is very obvious that you will be dead as soon as my child comes into this world."

His proposal made me realize that death was a better option than this. He was so into his vengeance that he didn't care about the future of that child. I rebuked sharply with disgust,

" My father was right! YOU ALL ARE BEASTS! WORST THAN BEAST. I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN BE YOUR SURROGATE! "

Maxim was involved in my life. I could never betray his feelings for me. Watching me carrying a child of another man would kill him. Another man entered the room, holding a tab in his hand as he reported to his Alpha in a professional voice,

" Alpha! A guy is looking for her. He went to the shop."

Realization dawned on me. It was Maxim who went to the shop after I didn't receive his calls. Remembering my phone, I looked for it anywhere but it was not even my sight.

The Alpha saw the tab screen, an evil curving on his lips. He asked twisting his tongue in a sarcastic voice,

" Is that...the boy that you are dating?"

I refused to answer and repeated my words, tears rolling down from my eyes,

" JUST KILL ME! I am not going to be your fucking surrogate."

He looked up at his ma, ordered in a playful voice,

" Why don't you bring him here, Nico? I am pretty sure that Silvia would love a company and our boys..they haven't tasted fresh meat for a long time."

I cried out in fear, writhing against the chains,

" NO!!! PLEASE!! LET HIM GO!! HE IS INNOCENT!"

The Alpha looked behind me amusingly, grinning as he spoke to the guy Nico,

" See! She knows him. The deal is going to be easier for us. Either she agrees to pay for his father's sin or she loses her lover."

I squeezed my eyes shut to shed some silent tears. Why did you come to look for me, Maxim? WHY?

Maxim was the only one that I had in my life. My life was worthless anyway. I couldn't be the reason for his death. Clenching my fists together, I blurted, stopping the guy Nico from going out,

" I AGREE!! I AGREE TO BE THE SURROGATE BUT DON'T HURT MAXIM."
