I Lost Her

Tears rolled from my eyes after hearing about Patrick's mate and the thought that the same thing could have happened to me was enough to tremble my soul. I kept both hands on my stomach.

"relax... I will not let anyone harm you and our pups" Aaron kept his hand on my shoulder and rubbed there to calm me and it worked. I nod my head and wipe my tears. I turned my head towards Patrick who was looking in another direction. 

"Aaron" I indicated to him to look at his best friend who needed him more than me. He nodded his head before getting up.

"Why didn't you tell me?" he asked Patrick after hugging him.

"You were already going through lots of problems."

"Still, you could have told me" I stood up from the ground. That's when my eyes went to Patrick whose eyes filled with tears.

"I lost her" He hid his face in Aaron's shoulder like a little brother while Aaron let him cry. I turned my head and looked at Marry who was also crying after seeing his son in pain. I went to her and hugged her.

After a while, Patrick and Marry calm down. I passed them a water bottle and then looked at Aaron whose eyes turned red, after crying for his best friend. What happened next was unexpected. He slapped Patrick.

"Aaron" I exclaimed and was about to scold him. That's when Marry held my hand and nodded her head in the negative, telling me not to say anything.

"You didn't even consider me worthy enough to share your pain with me," Aaron growled.

"It's nothing like that, brother"

"Then why didn't you tell me about your mate?" Aaron snarled.

"This incident happened when your health was not okay, Aaron. It took you one month to recover." I look at Patrick upon hearing his words.

"Health was not okay? About when you're talking?" I asked, interrupting them. The thought that my Aaron was not okay was enough to scare my soul. 

"When we were together, he was alright. What happened after that?" I asked and turned my head towards Aaron. "When is Patrick talking about and what happened to you?" I asked anxiously. 

"Relax, Pearl... I'm fine" I scrunched my eyebrow at his words and then looked at Patrick for the correct answer to my question.

"Aaron took" Before Patrick could have completed, Aaron interrupted him.

"What was the need to talk about the past? We need to reach the wild pack as soon as possible" 

"But"

"No if and but, Aana. Didn't you hear how dangerous this place is? We have to reach the wild pack on time" He muttered, not leaving room for discussion. Patrick and Mary started walking ahead while I kept glaring at Aaron for hiding things from me.

"Leave all this, Aana. You continue what we were talking about before Patrick and Marry's arrival. What did Alexander do?" 

"Didn't you hear how dangerous this place is? We have to reach the wild pack on time" I repeated the same line he said to me when I asked him about the pack. I started walking in the direction where Marry and Patrick went.

"What the hell?" I groaned when Aaron picked me up in his arms.

"There is already swelling in your feet…I don't want it to get worse" He replied and started walking. I kept staring at him lovingly while his eyes were on the path. 

"We love you" I muttered. He looked at my side, I pointed towards my stomach and then at me, telling him what I mean by us. He smiled and kissed my forehead.

"I love you and our pups with everything" he replied, bringing a big smile to my face.

"You will get tired like this," I pouted.

"I'm a werewolf. Moreover, the wild pack is not so far from here," he muttered. I nod my head. I was thinking about entering the wild pack. That's when I remembered my pack members' words and their thoughts about me. According to them I'm jinxed, what if wild pack members get into trouble because of me?

"Aaron... I think we should drop the idea of going to Wild Pack" He halted his step with my words.

"What?"

"Yeah," He made me stand on the ground.

"What happened suddenly?" Marry asked.

"I can't come with you. I can't enter into the wild pack" I mumbled.

"Pearl... what happened? Why are you saying this? Did you forget we came here for our pups?" Aaron muttered, trying to be patient with me. I can feel through my mate's bond, that he is trying to control his temper.

"I'm a jinxed Aaron…What if wild packs get into tribulation because of me... No... I can't go there... No, I can't" I muttered anxiously, remembering the words of my pack members.

"Stop uttering nonsense about yourself" Aaron growled, making me flinch. I moved away from him.

"Aaron... calm down, son," Marry said, coming between us.

"How can I cool off when she is uttering nonsense?" 

"Relax... I will talk to her" Marry replied and kept her hand on my shoulder.

"Patrick take Aaron with you for a walk" 

"Alpha" Patrick indicated Aaron to come with him and my mate did as Marry asked. I look at Marry with teary eyes.

"No matter what you say, Marry. I will not come with you" I said with determination.
