MATEO'S POV

Starring at Olivia for so long made me notice the moon shaped birthmark on her ankle, it was so tiny one wouldn't notice until you looked closely but since I had all the time in the world to stare at her, I picked it up.

Who has a birth mark the shape of a moon?. My curiosity got the better of me as I reached for her leg and touched the spot, slowly rubbing my fingers around it.

It felt so familiar, like I'd seen it somewhere but I never knew where. before I could place a finger here and there she suddenly pulled her leg away as she flinched snapping her eyes open.

I stood straight arranging my fine lined shirt to hide my nervousness.

"What—what happened?" she shuttered starring everywhere but my eyes.

"You fainted–After screaming to everyone that Alpha Alex was your mate." I saw the surprise in her face as she finally starred my way.

She kept blinking as she tried placing the pieces together then her eyes stopped on my gaze.

"Alpha Alex.." It came like a whisper under her breath but my wolf picked it.

The uncertain look in her eyes told me more than I needed to know.

Familiarity.

it tears through me like claws ripping into my chest.

she's my wife yet her wolf dares reach to reach for another man.

"What did you just say?" I crossed the bed to her side as I leaned forward pressing on knee beside her, she moved but I held her hand and pulled her closer.

without thinking, I smashed my lips on hers kissing her forcefully as my hands clasped at the both side of her ear, she struggled trying to force her lips away but it only made me grab her by the hair and deepened the kiss.

"Stop it!" she screamed and I let go. A smirk curved at the corner of my lips as the seat taste of her lips still felt fresh on mine.

She's mine.

"You didn't make a fuss when i had a month ago, what changed now uh Olivia, you don't want me anymore. " she whimpered as I leaned closer again. The anger in me knew no bound as I dragged the duvet off her and reaped her dress in half.

"You're mine alone, mine!" I growled as her strong scent clouded my senses. I only think of marking her and nothing else.

She tried moving but I pulled both legs closer and came on top her my massive weight locked her in. Every part of her body tasted like strawberry. Her neck, her cheek, her damn lips!

Just when I was about Biting her Lnoxx refused to come forth. He stayed In his cage and ignored my signals to mark her.

Didn't he want her like I did?

I pulled away from her neck slowly and starred at her sweaty face , I haven't even done anything than kiss her and she was already in tears.

"You're lucky he's not in the mood." Damn you Lnoxx! I frustratedly let her go and climbed down roughing my hair in rage.

"Change into something else." I muttered and stormed off before the guilt  I suddenly began to feel sank deeper.

"Fuck Mateo what is wrong with you?!"

I just couldn't get her scent off me! Every time I saw her the only thoughts I had was claiming her as mine but I know better than that. Fucking moon goddess trying to play games with me.

Right there my dick nearly ripped through my pants if I didn't leave! I needed this woman but she keeps calling another man her mate.

My enemy to be precise!

Dashing into mother's room I stormed to her wardrobe and pulled out the red document containing all the rules and regulations of our pack.

"Is she awake?" Mother asked coming in front me,I ignored and kept my eyes on the file as I flipped to what I needed.

"I think we need to talk about what happened Mateo, Olivia needs to explain what happened so we find a solution." Mother went on knowing fully well that I wasn't listening.

"The perfect solution is right here." A victorious smile framed on my lips as I closed the document shut.

"which is?" she asked and I handed the file over to her.

Her brows twitched as she opened and read through it. "Didn't you say you never wanted a true mate, Claiming Olivia binds her to you permanently, are you ready for that?"

she knew I wasn't. i never want to be tied down by anyone, I've never been but before this issue escalates and Alex butts in again, it's the only solution I have.

Taking the file back I said "The child is mine, if I don't chain her to me, Alex will use her to ruin everything I've built." I let the silence slice into the room as I went towards the door. I didn't come for her approval anyways.

"You feel the mate bond too yet you deny it. Do not tell me this is only a strategy?" she asked her tone deep with Suspicion. Mother was always able to see through me but this time I couldn't let it show.

"This is survival, nothing more." My words lingered In the air as i glanced at her from my shoulder.

"Be careful what you call strategy son. Once you take this step Olivia will be both your greatest strength and your greatest Weakness." Yet she spoke again. This time it got to me.

My jaw tightened as my gaze shifted to the fire house. Olivia calling Alex her mate snapped my memory once again.

I've fought wars, crushed enemies, ruled through fear..but nothing has ever gutted me like hearing Olivia whisper his name with that bond drunk look in her eyes.

If I lose Olivia, i lose my heir, I lose control and I will not let that happen.

Alex may be her so called fated mate but I am Alpha.

so I shut the file, I shut her doubts, and shut everything but the cold certainty that Olivia stoneborn belongs to me.

  • Pregnant With The Ruthless Alpha's Heir   Thank you note

Author's Note To everyone who read this book with me—thank you. Thank you for sticking with Anaya and Ryker through the chaos, the danger, the realms and entities and everything that tried to keep them apart. Thank you for cheering for Olivia and Mateo, for a love that didn't start easy but became one of the strongest in this whole story. Thank you for falling for Skye and Andrei the way I did, for waiting through every almost-confession with me. This story started as one thing and grew into so much more — a family, really, one I got attached to right alongside you. Writing Kingston and Sofia into the world, watching this whole found family gather around one table by the end, meant more to me than I expected it to. I'm endlessly grateful you chose to spend your time here, in this world, with these characters. Every comment, every read, every moment you stuck around for one more chapter — it mattered. Thank you for the journey. I hope it stays with you the way it's stayed with me.

Chapter 133 - The END Olivia's POVThe rain held off for the funeral, which felt like exactly the kind of small mercy Luna Diana would have arranged herself if she'd had any say in the matter. She'd never been one for dramatics, not even in death, though the entire pack turned out anyway, dressed in black beneath a sky that couldn't quite decide whether to stay grey or clear.I stood near the front with Mateo's hand locked tight in mine, watching them lower his mother into the ground beside the husband she'd lost decades ago, and let myself remember her the way she deserved to be remembered—not as the frail woman who'd spent her last months slower and quieter than any of us had ever known her to be, but as the force she'd been for most of my life. She was the one who found me, after all. Twenty-three years ago, a terrified, humiliated young woman with no idea what came next, and it was Diana who'd sat beside my bed that first night and told me, with a certainty I hadn't earned yet an

Chapter 132Olivia's POVThe house was quiet in that particular way it only got in the late evening, after Kingston had finally been wrestled down for the night and Sofia had gone home with her parents, leaving nothing behind but stray toys scattered across the living room floor and the faint smell of the dinner we'd all shared a few hours earlier.I found Mateo out on the back porch, exactly where he usually ended up these days, a glass of wine forgotten at his elbow, staring out at the darkening yard like it held something worth studying."You're thinking too hard," I said, settling into the chair beside him."Just remembering," he said, not looking away from the yard."Remembering what?"He finally turned to me, and even after all these years, something in his expression still had the power to make my chest go warm—that same steady, quiet affection he'd carried for me since long before either of us had known what to call it."Everything," he said simply. "All of it."I let my head

Chapter 131 Andrei's POV The jazz club Kelly had recommended turned out to be tucked below street level, down a narrow staircase that opened into a dim, smoky room lined with red velvet booths and a small stage where a quartet was already deep into something slow and syrupy by the time we found a table near the back. "This is exactly what I pictured when you said jazz club," Skye said, sliding into the booth beside me instead of across from me, close enough that her shoulder pressed against mine. "Kelly has surprisingly good taste for a man who once set a grill on fire." "Low bar, but I'll allow it." A waiter appeared with two glasses of red wine we hadn't technically ordered yet—apparently the house didn't believe in menus so much as vibes—and we settled back to let the music wash over us, the saxophone bending low and mournful before the whole quartet picked the tempo back up into something brighter. "I used to think places like this were pretentious," Skye admitted, swirling

Chapter 130Andrei's POVThe boat was smaller than I expected—intimate, really, more like a private charter than the crowded tourist cruises we'd passed on our walk along the river that afternoon. Just a handful of other couples scattered along the deck, soft music drifting from somewhere near the bow, the whole vessel gliding slow enough that conversation didn't have to compete with the engine."This is not what I pictured," Skye said, leaning against the railing, the wind catching loose strands of her hair. "I thought it'd be one of those big double-decker things with a tour guide shouting facts through a megaphone.""I did some research," I admitted, coming up beside her. "Wanted something quieter.""You really did plan this trip like a military operation.""I prefer 'thorough.'" I wrapped an arm around her waist as the boat eased further out into the current, the city beginning to catch the last of the light—gold bleeding into the stone facades, the water below turning the color o

Chapter 129Skye's POVSeven months. That's how long it took to get from a flower house confession to standing in front of everyone I loved in a dress my mother cried the entire first time she saw me in.The ceremony itself passed in a blur of golden light and half-formed memories—Andrei's face when I came down the aisle, like he'd forgotten how to breathe. My mother's hand trembling in mine before she passed me off. Sofia, seven months old now and thoroughly unbothered by the significance of the day, gnawing happily on the strap of her tiny flower girl basket instead of throwing petals like she was supposed to."She's supposed to throw them," Chelsea had whispered from the front row, and Kelly had just laughed and said, "She's doing her best," which set off half the guests.By the time Andrei slid the ring onto my finger, I'd stopped trying to hold back tears altogether. Anaya, standing just behind me, squeezed my shoulder the second the officiant pronounced us married, and I turned
