chapter 4: I'm pregnant

Ariel POV

It's been a month and a week now and I have not seen my normal menstrual flow. Ethan has managed to forgive me and we are back together but not intimately like before. He doesn't touch me, just some minor kiss and going out for dinner. He hardly smiles around me and I've been noticing Liz's presence in his house lately. Anyway, that's none of my concern for now. I just have to get rid of this dizziness and prepare something to eat.

I went into the kitchen and prepared some light food which I managed to take only three bites.

Why do I feel so weak, it's seems I'm going to faint any moment from now.

Well, I'm a medical doctor but I don't work for any hospital or organization, I have all the medical equipment In my house. I don't remember having any bacteria in my body. I think I should run a pregnancy test on myself. How am I even sure of that, it's been a long I had intercourse so I don't think it's pregnancy even if my breasts are tender but as a medical practitioner I don't have to rely on my instincts. I pick a 2ml syringe and withdraw blood from a vein in my left hand. Within three minutes the test was ready. I close my eyes and say a silent prayer before looking at the result.

' positive!' no way this can't be possible. How is it even possible that am pregnant?

I slump on the couch and hold my head with my palm...

I need to tell Ethan about this, I'm sure he will be so happy to find out I'm pregnant. I got into my car and drove straight to Ethan's place.

"Ethan" I called running up the stairs with excitement on my face.

I ran into his room and met him with a white towel tied around his waist as he came out of the bathroom. He looks damn cute with his damp brown hair and those golden eyes of his. I almost got lost in them with admiration when he jolted me out of my fantasy with his husky voice.

"I heard you calling my name," he said as he covered his hair with a small white towel.

"Yes I have a piece of good news for you, " I said squealing and he furrowed his brows at me.

" What good news is that?" He asked and I grinned from ear to ear.

"I'm pregnant" I announced and his gaze became deem

"You're pregnant?" He asked without any hint of emotion in his voice and I nodded.

"For who?" He asked and I felt a sting in my heart. Why is he asking such an unnecessary question, he's the only man in my life. The pregnancy belongs to him of course.

"You Ethan" I reply calmly and he becomes furious and throws the towel on his hand at me.

"How can you say I'm the one responsible for your pregnancy?" He asked with a very loud voice and I felt my soul leaving my body.

" Have you forgotten so suddenly, have you forgotten I didn't touch after you slept with that stranger in the hotel?" He asked and my heart leapt out of my chest. Ethan didn't touch me again after that incident but this pregnancy belongs to him. It can't belong to that stranger.

"I remember but have you forgotten that we also had sex in the morning before the incident in the night?" I asked back trying to be reasonable. We had sex thrice that morning so it's possible Ethan is the father of this child in my womb.

"We had sex in the morning yes I agreed with you but that will not make me take responsibility for someone else child. " He spat angrily and my heart squeezed In pain and agony.

"Ethan!" I called with tears and he pushed me out of his room.

"Get out of my house! Go and meet that idiot that got you pregnant. You chose him over me because he has a bigger cock. I know from the unset that something like this will happen. I should have listened to Lix, she's right about you. Everything she said about you is true" Ethan yelled and yelled as he pushed me out of his house with fire burning in his golden eyes. He pushed me out and went into the house back. His security guards in black moved me out of the house like some outcasts and that instant I felt my whole world shattering. What do do now? I got into my car and drove straight to my Villa. I got inside and asked Irene to lock everywhere. I don't know why I said but Irene is my maid. She was assigned to work for me by my mother. Like she said, that I need her by myself always. She rushed towards me and asked what happened but I was too weak to reply. I lost consciousness Immediately I climbed the first stair and everything blank out.

Irene POV.

Madam Ariel has been acting strange lately. According to her mother when she assigned me to her, she said she's a half-breed but hasn't found her powers yet. Just now she lost consciousness after driving in.

I immediately rushed to her side and grabbed her hand to feel her pulse.

"what! She's pregnant?" I exclaimed in disbelief as I dropped her hand on the ground.

I lifted her up and took her to her room where I examined her. I tried feeling her again but the child seemed to be so strong than her. I'm a midwife in the werewolf realm. Only Justin her mother who's also a werewolf knows about it. As for Ariel, she's been kept in the dark. Her mother doesn't want her to find her powers and discover herself. Best reasons know to her. But for now, I need to make Ariel conscious and examine her condition.

I tried feeling her but I got the shock of my life when a gentle blue glow shone from her bellybutton.
