As my mother releases me from her embrace , my father comes into the room . “ Kurat son , to what do we owe this visit ?” he says as he takes a seat on the sofa .

I stand feeling slightly awkward and unsure how to explain when he has a small laugh “ Never thought I would see the day you would be lost for words , Out with it boy .” He says as he motions for me to sit across from him , as my mother sits beside him . My father instinctively wraps his arms around her and pulls her to him , placing a kiss on her temple .

As I watch them I know the love that flows through them for each other . I know I want that , I know I can't and wont settle for less . Taking a deep breath I decided to just ask them .
