Betrayals - The Future Queen of Werewolves (Book 1) Rejection
Lincoln's POV"Yes...Father." Father..that can't be I think. Feeling the blood drain from my face I glance across to my parents. I can visibly see my mother shaking where she stands, grasping my fathers hand to help hold herself up.Looking back at Lilah I gasp in a shock. Her left hand has a soft white glow surrounding it as she gently places it on her broken right wrist and then her bruised face. Once the glow has faded she looks up at the King and a grin spreads across her now unblemished face. "A new power I see" the King says proudly. "And how long have you been keeping that from me?" Amusement lacing his voice."Oh you know how I love surprises father. I gain strength every day, you have lots to see." She smirks. He stands quietly for a moment taking in his daughter before a wide smile crosses his face, his cold demeanour broken. Opening his arms, Lilah leaps across the room and hugs him, breathing in his familiar forest scent. An uncomfortable feeling begins to settle in my ch

Lilah POV"I, Lincoln Thomas future Alpha of the Emerald Green Pack reject you, Lilah Benecio, as my mate and future Luna." Doubling over his hands clutch at his chest as pain rips through his body, grasping onto the table to steady himself before he continues."I cannot have a weak, wolfless omega as my mate. Lunas are meant to strengthen our pack and our Alpha, you cannot do either of those things." Lifting my lips in a smirk I simply c**k my head to the side waiting to see if he had finished. Once recovered and seeing my amusement at what he said he stalked towards me and my head was whipped to the side with the force of his punch."ACCEPT. NOW." He roared at me. Feeling the blood trickle down my face I don't bother to wipe it away. "Oh I will Alpha, however I do believe if you are rejecting your goddess given mate you have to have a witness from both families or proxy present."With a snarl his eyes darken with anger. Seeing his eyes cloud over I wait."Alpha Johnson is on his

Lilah POVWalking out of the forest after a couple of hours I hear excited chatter carrying in the wind from the packhouse. "He's such a fine young man...""A promising Alpha for our pack..""Did you hear how well he did at training?..."Scoffing to myself I continue round the side to the kitchen entrance. Seeing me Luna Maria walks over and thrusts a tray of food into my hands, "take this upstairs to Alpha Lincoln's room, his Luna and him need to keep their energy levels high if they wish to grace us with grand pups" feeling bile rise in my throat at the thought I nod my head and turn towards the stairs. Walking upstairs carefully I mentally brace myself for seeing both him and Shannon, "calm" whispers Sky, knowing it wasn't nerves that were bothering me but the risk of my temper being shown. Shifting the tray i briskly knock on his door twice waiting to be acknowledged, "come in" calls Shannon's nasally voice. Opening the door with my elbow I push it open with my back and turn sl

Lilah POV"LILAH, get downstairs!" Came the shrill scream of Luna Maria. Wincing slightly I groan internally and gently place the iron down on the board ensuring to turn it off. Smoothing down my brown uniform I take a deep breath and head downstairs. Standing waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs was the Luna, tapping her foot as if I had made her wait long. "Come on girl, we have news that Lincoln is returning tomorrow morning. I need his suite scrubbed so it is spotless, fresh sheets, flowers and his fridge stocked just the way he likes it. I need breakfast prepped in the morning - the full spread for him. Ensure his clothes are ironed, folded and ready for his use." She instructed me in a cold tone. "Yes Luna." I reply softly."NOW LILAH" she shouted seeing me not move immediately. Biting my tongue I bowed my head as is customary to anyone of authority. Quickly walking away I feel a wash of calm sent to me by my wolf Sky. "It's okay Lilah, we can do this" she whispers to me.
