Luke’s POV

I later woke up to someone brushing my hair. I was laying on my side and I looked behind me to see Valeria combing my hair. She gave me a smile before putting the brush down.

"You know, you need to stop fighting Valentino sweetheart. Just do what he wants. His dad did the same and now we've been married for thirty years. Life is so much easier if you just please your partner." She said while stroking my hair.

I looked away from her. I hate that she's telling me to be subservient to Valentino.

"This life is so much better than the one you were living before. I don't know why you keep on fighting it." She continued.
