Chapter 7: A House Divided

As I walked through the forest, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had settled over me. It had been two weeks since the attack by the human group, and while we had managed to fend them off, it had come at a great cost. Several of our pack members had been injured, and one had lost his life in the battle.

But the wounds ran deeper than just the physical ones. In the aftermath, I had noticed a shift in the attitude of some of our pack members towards me and Alex. They seemed to be questioning our leadership and our message of unity and peace between humans and werewolves.

I couldn't blame them. We had promised them a better future, one where they didn't have to live in fear or hide their true selves from the world. But with the recent attack, that promise seemed to be slipping away.
