Chapter 99: Shadowed Bargain

As I slipped into unconsciousness, my mind became a swirling vortex of darkness and fragmented memories. Vague whispers danced on the edges of my consciousness, teasing me with half-formed thoughts and fleeting glimpses of the past.

"Sophia, can you hear me?" Alex's voice cut through the haze, distant yet familiar.

I tried to respond and reach out to him, but my voice seemed trapped in the darkness, swallowed by the void that surrounded me.
