The thrill that came over her realizing that they hadn’t seen each other for almost a month then bumped into each other in a different city made her excited. She wanted to dive in for a hug but her hand was clutching on five sticks of fish balls. Valentine witnessed the disappointment in Adam’s eyes — who was standing right beside Delilah.
“Is there something wrong, Adam?”
“Nah, it’s just nice seeing the both of you together. My baby here’s been wanting to contact you but you’re always out of reach,” he answered, avoiding her stare as he looked down on the floor.
“Yes, V, what happened?” Delilah asked as she placed her hands on Valentine’s shoulders.

A ringing sound of William’s phone took over the silence. Valentine looked at him, worried if he’d pick it up or not. “Hey guys!” Delilah’s voice boomed across the floor. “I thought you left! It’s hard to look for you since this place is pretty much packed.” There were three employees behind her, carrying a tray on their hands. For every trip to almost all of the jewelry shops in the city the couple did to find the perfect gift for Helen, it took them half an hour until they switched to another shop.
