Omerta's POV

All of my anxiety about sharing a room with Lucifer amounted to nothing, at least not on our first night.

Lucifer did not come back till late; in fact, I had no idea when he came or when we went in the morning, because he did not tell me either of the times.

All I knew was that something warm and hard was wrapped around me for most of the night, but it was gone by the time I woke up in the morning.

There was no Lucifer and no note.

It was like I had the whole room to myself.

My deep-rooted insecurities started making their way to the surface. I could feel the negative thoughts skirting around the periphery of my vision, but I was adamant not to let them get to me.

I reminded myself again that he was just stuck with the stuff going back to Enna.

He wanted me here He had moved me into his room.

Many of you might not feel satisfied with this chapter, but the information here is crucial to the story, so trust me that it is important.
