"I'll make it back to you when I get back"

"That's what you always say, I'm so lonely without you" his eyes clouded.

"You have Malcom, and his friend, what's the name again? I asked

"His friend's name his Jade" his eyes lit up.

"I'll play with you when I get back I promise"

He nodded.

"You'll be a good boy till I get back?

" Yes " he replied.

Landon was all I could think about at the meeting.

Tho I'd tightened security, I had to be with him every hour. 

"Have you heard the news? Bexley asked bringing me out of my reverie.

" No I haven't "

There wasn't any time for me even check the news.

"We're ranking number one currently, the investment was a huge success"

I smiled.

"You did well" he added

I knew how difficult it was for him to say those words, but I felt good.

My husband's company was not facing bankruptcy, instead it was moving forward every day.

"We do need to trust your decisions, I must admit" Mr jerkins smiled at me.

" I appreciate y'all's trust and support, to more greater heights "

" Why don't we host a small gathering to celebrate this? Bexley asked

"Not bad" I replied.

"Leave it to me, you just have to grace the gathering with your lovely presence " he smiled.

One thing I learnt about buisness was the benefit of profit, it was what kept one on the safe spot.

Even if they didn't care about me, the profit I was making was beneficial to them, 

In due time, they could accept my leadership totally.

Bexley could host the party, Mr jerkins could attend to the foreign investors, I had to be home right now.

The doctor was on his way for another session with Kingston.

I had to be there.

The moment I arrived home, the Doctor was already waiting in the living room.

"How long have you been waiting?

" Just thirty minutes"

" I'm sorry.."

"You are a very busy woman, no need to apologize" he adjusted his glasses

"Let's go upstairs then" I led the way.

The moment Landon saw the doctor,his face turned sour.

He knew what was coming, I too could not stand it.

But in order for him to get better, I had no choice..

Landon backed away slowly, covering his head with his hands..

"No needles, no needles" he yelled.

"Calm down Landon" I did not want him to get another panic attack.

"You want to get better right? Calm down, breathe" I walked towards him.

"No, get him away from me" he yelled, throwing away his toys.

" Landon " I reached for him.

His hand held mine.

" Please don't let him " 

I held him, as his body racked against mine.

"you have to let him"

"I'll take you out, I'll do whatever you want"

I held him, staring into his Preety brown eyes.

"What do you want? I asked, threading carefully.

" I want out.. I want to go out with you and malcom.. I want out, I want it "

" Okay, I'll go out with you "

I signalled out the doctor who stood watching the scene.

He came forward, bringing forward his injection.

I held Landon, letting him bury his face against me.

I couldn't watch as the Doctor injected him.

He held me tightly sniffing.

"You'll be fine, I promise"

"He'll be fine, he will only feel weak for some minutes"

"Thank you Doctor"

"I'll be back to check on him" 

Landon held me, his eyes closed.

I would not give up on him.

I would fix Landon, no matter what it cost me, I could protect and be his shield.

Till he returns, as the most wealthiest and unbeatable Man in L A. 

I stayed home through out the day, working and attending to emails on my laptop till Nina and Gareth showed up, with an elderly man holding big brown documents.

"Why are the both of you here?

My eyes lingered on the suitcase, Gareth held.

" Since you won't give Landon over, we've decided to stay here"

" You won't, I won't let you stay here" I stared at him.

" What will you do? Do you want to meet in court? Thankfully I brought a lawyer"

" I don't care about you or your half baked lawyer, I won't let you stay " 

" You have no right " Nina pointed to the mansion.

" This is his brother's house, and we'll both stay here"

" You will no, I'll go to court and face the both of you"

" Please don't" Nina's tone changed.

I knew Nina to be very dramatic, I didn't figure out why she was putting on an act.

" I'm pleading with you"she continued

"He really wants to stay with Landon, he loves him, he wants to play with him, he wants to be there for you, what do you gain by seperating two brothers?

"Please Ren, please let me be with my brother,  

Three days is enough for me, please" Gareth joined in.

"You can both stay"

I turned, and Landon was behind me, a frown etched on his face.

"Ren, let them stay" Landon's eyes were on Gareth

"Landon they can't..I...."

"Let them stay please, you are always at work, the house is quiet and lonely"

I could not refuse him this Time, he could definitely make a fuss if I didn't allow Gareth stay.

" I got you new toys and snacks " Gareth smiled.

"Thank you brother" Landon smiled

I wanted to take Gareth out, and put a bullet to his chest.

Gareth staying over was bad news.

He would fill Landon with lies.

He could try his possible best to create a rift between Landon and I.

He could do it with the help of Nina.

"Let's go upstairs, Landon" I took his hands.

Gareth eyed me.

"There's something I want to tell you Landon, can you stay with me?

Landon stopped, his eyes flickered from my face to Gareth's. 

"Please" Gareth pleaded 

"Landon you're with going to choose Gareth or me" I said and Nina rolled her eyes.

" Don't make me choose" Landon looked down.

" I want to spend time with you Landon and if you're going to pick Gareth, don't bother coming to me"

It was petty, but it was all I could do to stop Gareth from interacting with Landon
