First Time

THREE YEARS AGO.

"Are you here for the interview? The lady with the glasses and a mole on her cheeks asked.

"Yes " I replied.

"You're next in line, good luck"

The moment I stepped into the office, I wanted to turn and go back.

The man staring at me was very handsome, 

His aura enveloped me like air.

He was a sight to behold, pointed nose, tanned skin, beautiful sparkling eyes, he emitted strong charm.

He could make any woman go weak in the knees if he stared at her like this....

The light weight silk suit he wore was slightly buttoned, I could see the outline of his chest.

He was one of those guys that girls dreamt and fantasized about.

 He fiddled with his pen, and I stared at those veiny hands.

"Ren or?...

" Ren" I replied.

"Files?

I gave him the files.

" You're looking for a secretary right?

"I'm looking for a wife" 

His eyes flickered over every part of my body and my cheeks heated.

He chuckled.

"Why do you want this job?

" I've always wanted this job, I know I'm capable, I'll give my best "

His eyes acessed me again, they were everywhere, mostly on my legs, to my chest, and to my lips.

This was concerning, was this how he stared at every female employer?

"And do you think you're suitable for this job?

'Do you think I don't know that you're eye fucking me?

"Did you say something? He asked

" No" I muttered.

" Good" he grinned, staring at the files.

" I've gone through everything about the company and I'll give my best, just give me a chance, I'll prove my worth"

" Prove your worth in another way" his eyes roamed all over me.

" Well Kingston, screw you, I don't need the Job, and I don't need to prove my worth to you"

With that, I stormed out angrily.

I got home and I could not help but remember all the sleepless night and the research.

Maya visited me, a smile etched on her face.

"You got it right?

"What? I asked

" The job"

" No I didn't"

And as I relayed to her my words to Kingston, she stared at me wide eyed.

" He's Landon Kingston!

"You're joking"

"You know me too much to think so"

" You would have been patient enough to hear him first"

" Are you with your best friend or Kingston?

"You of course" she rolled her eyes.

"I'm never going back there"

Three day later, I got a call from the company

" Kingston would like to see you ma'am "

I could almost imagine his face, and that grin.

He had it on his face when I stormed out.

"I would not like to see him, please pass on that information"

There was no way I was going back there.

"Well, your CV and files are with him, I'll see you" she replied in a calculating tone.

She knew I had no choice about the matter,

What was wrong with me?

Why did I storm out, forgetting my files with Landon fucking King?

I had no choice, I could not get a new job without the files.

so I prepared myself on a journey to recruit my files.

I stepped into the firm, intending to make it snappy.

I walked straight to his office, and there he was dressed in black shirt, blue jeans and the chain over his exposed chest,his handsome face met mine immediately.

I was not going to dilly dally, to stare and wonder about his amazing fashion sense, or how handsome he was.

I cleared my throat.

"I'm here for the files"

"Sit down Ren" he replied

"We need to talk" his eyes 

on my face.

" There's nothing to talk about, I just want the files, I'll leave quietly "

" Don't be stubborn Angel " he grinned, and I wanted more than anything to hit him on the head.

" Don't call me that " I glared at him, and he grinned.

I ignored the flutter of emotions racing through me.

" When do you plan on resuming? He asked 

"Resuming?

" As my secretary " 

" What do you mean? 

"I want you as my secretary, you ran off before I could say anything"

"You were going to ask me to....I stopped and he Chuckled..

"If I wanted to sleep with you, I'll marry you and do it every day"

My face flushed.

"I wanted you to show your worth, by presenting your research, you didn't let me speak"

"Cos of the way you were staring at me..." 

" I'm not sorry for staring at you, I'm not sorry that my eyes found you attractive" he grinned.

Was he flirting with me? 

I kept my face neutral, not revealing the emotions flooding through me.

"Do you like to flirt with every lady you meet? The words were out before I could stop myself.

" I only flirt with my wife like this" 

His eyes locked with mine passionately.

"You're looking for a secretary, not a wife" I replied softly, the sound of my own voice unrecognizable.

The feelings rising to my chest were unsettling.

He watched me intently and his full lips curled into a smile. 

I should have known that he had plans to include me by his side forever.

The alarm sounded and as I opened my eyes.

Landon was wide awake watching me.

He kissed my cheeks smiling.

"Landon.."

"You're so beautiful" he hovered over me.

"Good morning"

"Good morning my love" I said and he smiled.

"I love you too" he turned away from me, 

I stood up, I had another meeting with the board members this morning.

"Do you have to go? Landon raised his eyebrow.

" You don't ever have time for me"

" Landon please"

" You do not have time to play with me, you only care about work.

He was sulking again.
