Chapter 29 – What she felt
When Wayne went to the bed, he found her staring at the ceiling.
He frowned as he lay next to her. “Are you…”
He stopped. Maybe he shouldn’t ask her if she’s alright, yesterday had clearly shaken her up.
He sighed as he pulled her close to him, trying to comfort her with his presence.
“What are you thinking?” He asked quietly, watching her expression closely.
While she’s in the bathroom earlier, he’d already instructed his people to dig into Hayes’ activities. All the ways he could be destroyed, they only needed Wayne’s approval to execute them immediately.
“I miss mom. I want to visit them this coming weekend.” She replied in a soft tone.
“Alright. We’ll go. Do you want it to be this Friday night?”
She shook her head. That would be too rushed. They need to rest, too. Saturday afternoon will be fine. She told him.
