INKA'S POV

I shake my head and push through the toilet's door, but I'm smiling despite everything.

They're insane.

But they're mine.

The bathroom is blessedly empty.

I lean against the sink, gripping the porcelain edge, and just breathe.

In. Out. In. Out.

Cessy's words keep replaying. And the threat to tell grandpa. Grandpa who already thinks I'm worthless. Who already blames me for Mom's death.

The door opens.

I straighten quickly, wiping at my eyes.

A girl walks in.

And wow.

She's stunning.

Designer clothes that look effortlessly chic. She's beautiful in the way magazines are beautiful. Polished. Perfect. She walks to the sink two down from mine, sets down an expensive leather bag, and starts washing her hands. Then she pauses. Straightens. Her hand goes to her lower stomach."Oh no," she mutters. "No, no, no."She checks her designer watch. Then closes her eyes,

INKA'S POV Cessy storms off, finally. The cafeteria is still buzzing with whispers, phones still recording, but I can barely process any of it. My hands are shaking. Hunter sits back down, immediately pulling me against his side. "Breathe, baby." "She's just jealous," Zane says, voice tight. "Jealous she'll never be what you are to us." "And she's wrong," Seth adds quietly. "About all of it." My stomach twists. "Hey." Hunter tilts my chin up. Makes me look at him. "Don't. Don't let her poison get in your head." "He's right," Zane says. "She's been chasing us for years. We never wanted her. Not for a second." "Only you," Seth finishes softly. The bell rings. I stand up too fast. My head spins slightly. "I need... I need to use the bathroom. Before next period." All three of them stand immediately. "We'll walk you," Hunter says. "No." I shake my head. "I just need a minute. Alone. Please." They exchange looks. That silent triplet communication thing they do. "Inka," Zan

INKA'S POV Lunch is pure torture. The three of them appear at my table like they’ve been tracking my scent. Hunter drops beside me, immediately sliding his hand under the table to grip my thigh. “Missed you,” he says, voice rough. “Tell me you missed us too.” “I was only gone for two periods,” I laugh softly, but my voice wavers as his fingers trace higher. “Too long,” Zane says, claiming my other side, thigh pressed flush against mine. “How was chemistry? Did you think about us?” “Constantly,” I admit, cheeks burning. “It’s hard to focus when I can still feel your hands on me.” Seth leans across the table, eyes soft and hungry. “You look so pretty when you blush like that. Makes me want to kiss every inch of that flush.” Zane unzips my lunch bag. “Did you eat breakfast properly?” “You watched me,” I tease. “All of it?” His gaze drops to my mouth. “Be honest, Inka.” “Most…” “She barely touched the eggs,” Seth adds quietly, concern lacing his tone. “You said you weren’t hun

INKA'S POVShowing up to school with three devastatingly hot Alphas who refuse to let you out of arm’s reach is one thing.Having them touch you like they’re publicly claiming every inch of you is something else entirely.I’d begged for the bus this morning.Hunter had smirked and said, “Cute. But no. You’re riding with us.”Zane had simply growled one low, “No,” his voice rough enough to make my stomach tighten.Seth had hovered by the door, eyes soft but determined. “Please, Inka? Let us take care of you today. I… I need to know you’re safe.”How could I say no to that? Now I’m sliding out of their matte-black SUV. Hunter’s large palm slides down my back and settles possessively just above the curve of my ass, fingers pressing in firmly.“Easy, baby,” he murmurs, lips brushing my ear. “You look fucking edible in that uniform. Trying to kill us?”I shiver. “Hunter… everyone’s looking.”“Let them look,” he replies, voice low and wicked. “They need to know who you belong to.”Zane shou
