Kai’s POV

“I will get it. I’ll try my best.” Liam assures after the minutes of silence.

I peep at them. Her face seems a bit relaxed now and she slaps his arms in a gesture of  ‘no worries.’

“Where’s your best friend?”

“Elion?” He replies sharply and I drop back to the wall of the corner I’m hiding at. Elion is really his bestfriend, even this girl confirms it. Before I used to think he’s his boyfriend.

One man down! One woman to go!

I need to know who this woman is to him. Maybe I know but I’m eager to confirm.

“Greet him for me.” I hear her say. Seems like she’s about to go. I arrange myself, ready to follow them if need be.

Liam smiles, nods……whatever he does and both parts. He’s coming towards my direction. I take up a tiptoe run to the other corner, waiting until he passes by then I slowly take another gulp of water. I breathe out.

Seeing him walk a considerable distance, I walk out, determined to follow after him to his office. Let it be, I just came as a coincidence. Liam is about five meters from me and the way he’s rushing back to work, he won’t ever check back. I follow after him confidently.

Before I know, he spins around. “Heyy.” He shouts across to the girl at the rear. My eyes follow back from the girl to him and I freeze.

Goddess have mercy!

Seeing he flags the girl off and slowly strides towards me with furrowed eyes. “What do you want here?” He asks, voice harsh with anger. I’m confused. Angry, I'm stalking him? I'm just naturally curious. I try to defend myself within myself.

“What are you doing here?”

It’s here I pick up my morale, putting up a frown. “Wasn’t this hospital built by my dad? Am I not the Alpha’s son? Besides this is a public place. Does that question really make sense to you?”

Liam stands still, assessing my words, trying to believe it’s coincidence but soon picks up his suspicions.

“You’re stalking me!” He accused.

“You’re queerbaiting? Claiming you’re gay but going after a girl to beg?”

“Come on…” he steps forward, fury doubling. “What makes you say, Alpha? Have I queerbaited you? Are we in a relationship? Why does it even bother you?”

I nod, slowly, looking away.

He rushes up again, this time barely a few inches away and whispers in a low, cold tone. “Even if that girl and I should have something doing and I still come out to claim being gay, what’s your business…..Urgh?”

“What’s my business?” My eyes rolled round in confusion.

“Yes, of course.”

“Don’t you have a conscience? What if those guys you flirt with begin to have interest in you?” I ask.

“How’s that your business? Are you one of them? No…..you aren’t a gay so mind your business and stop meddling.” He shuts me off right away and I stay rigid, gawking at him, not knowing what to say.

“Listen, let me tell you.” He points his fist at me. I stumble back in shock. Someone pointing his fist on me, the young Alpha of the Pack without fear. I look around to check if people are watching. Luckily, everyone is just busy. This is a hospital environment.

“If it’s because I’m handling your case and you want to push me into trouble with your dad, I'll withdraw and transfer it to another doctor.”

My heart ceases.

He storms off.

What in the entire world? When I need him most?

The thing is I can’t even tell what his problem is. Could he be angry at the fact my dad came over to meet him at the penthouse, the questions and Cerise suspicions?

Or that I discovered his true nature, a closeted bi, assumingly, who’s out there parading as a gay?

Or the threats from last time still haunts him?

Whatever it is, I’ve got a big, important document to give to him to sign. I can’t back out now. I will go after him.

He goes off sight but his words continue to bounce in and out of my mind, each time sounding so real as if it’s happening now. I pull out the series of papers from my bag, going through it. His name and his are on it.

What I intended on giving him to sign.

“What do I do now?” I stamp my foot, going to and fro, not minding whether anyone is recording at this point.

“Hey, hey. What’s going on?” I hear the voice and I turn to see it’s Elion, his words begin with a sharp smile but they do not reach into his eyes. More of a formality for someone whom his senior colleague has been crushing on.

“What’s going on here?” I pounce angrily.

He flags his palms down, calling for me to cool. I reluctantly do and he smiles again. My eyes turn red. “What’s it with the smile…….when I’m clearly annoyed.” The clause of the statement shoots out while the second finishes inside of me.

“He’s just as angry as you, which is why I sometimes feel you both are soulmates and twin flames.

I sigh, attempting to walk pass but he grips my wrist. “I’m not done yet.”

“What?” I unexpectedly say.

“Suppose Dr. Liam treats you rudely, just overlook it. He’s not been himself lately.”

My eyes flare in curious surprise. “Why? What’s wrong with him?”

What I need is really coming to me. I squirm inside of me.

“He’s……he’s…...”

Phone rings and I look, it’s dad. Elian’s phone rings right after too and he rushes over to the side, speaking in low tones that I couldn’t get. So I pick dad’s call.

“Hey son, where are you now?”

Bursts of thunder crash over my head as this comes out, low, steady and stern.

Liam's POVThis is a tricky situation. The bulky envelope, no doubt containing money, is begging me to take it.“I cannot take that, Alpha.” I state. “ I'll do this as a favour to you, but offering me hush money is an insult to the hippocratic oath, and to my license” He smirks, Alpha Anderson is not the kind of man you say no to, I had only two options, do it without the bribe or do it with the bribe. I picked the one that eased my mind a little.“You're very smart, Doc. I'm glad you've decided to help me out” He lifts his leg from my table, standing with a grunt.“Well, I'll be on my way.” He said to me, then turns to his phone and dials up a number, “Send Gary in” Then he walks out without another word and I'm left reeling. Will I regret this decision I've made?Three minutes later, a knock sounds on my door.“Come in.”A young boy, about eighteen years old, walks in, head and shoulders slumped. What I notice though, is the way he walks, like he's in a lot of pain and discomfort.

  • Puck Me, Sweet Captain   Chapter 24

Liam's POVI was very serious about me and Kai being strangers. He had no reason to be hurt about the fact that I wasn't acknowledging him or the numerous texts he had sent me since the last time we spoke. But he definitely was.He threw himself into the upcoming wedding with Cerise, posting regularly about it on his social media. He was popular, so I saw the posts; I was not stalking him or anything. My phone pings, and when I check it, I find out that his latest post on Twitter is blowing up.It's a picture of Kai and Cerise, both smiling wide, his arms around her as she nuzzles into him. With hashtags #iwouldnotwantitanyotherway #nohomoKai had personally sent it to my DM to ensure that I saw how happy he was with Cerise and that he didn't give a fuck about me.That was a tell on its own.I look up at my computer, then my phone pings again. If I receive another text concerning Kai’s homophobic post, I am going to block him and punch him the next time I see him.But it's not a text

  • Puck Me, Sweet Captain   Chapter 23

Kai's POV I follow Liam around like a lost puppy. He's being very adamant and I don't know why I'm so hell-bent on him going on a date with me. I guess I want to sway him, make him change his mind about this being our last interaction.Liam hates me, or at least wants to avoid having anything to do with me, but I need Liam, before getting married to Cerise I need Liam to show me all that I have been missing.“Please?” I whine, tugging at his shirt as he goes into the kitchen, shuffling through utensils.“What the fuck is your problem.” He slams the butter knife on the counter, making me jump at the sound. “Leave me the fuck alone, you're getting married soon, why the hell won't you let me just be?” “I just want to treat you, before we cut all connections with each other” I whisper, looking down at my hands.I am Kai Anderson, I am not one to shy away from a tough situation and I definitely am not the type to cry. Shock passes through me as I feel my eyes get wet. With tears.“Are

Kai's POVMy thigh muscles spasm as we drive to Liam's apartment. I barely notice anything else, my blood thrumming in anticipation. He fishes out his key and unlocks the door.Immediately we're inside, I push him against the door, unbuckling his belt and dropping to my knees. His hands find my hair and I groan, pleasure rolling down my spine in waves. “Fuck Kai, you're so perfect.” He whispers, thrusting into my mouth, hitting the back of my throat. His hands are pulling my hair almost painfully, but the pain makes it even better. He's bucking and that's how I know he's about to come.“Get up,” he orders and I obey, our mouths crashing into each other. We move to his bedroom in a tangle of limbs, kissing and sucking and nipping. “Get on,” he says.I don't need to be told twice, I get on the bed, getting rid of my jeans. We're both stark naked, his perfect body gleaming with a sheen of sweat, he was a delight to look at.“Put your ass in the air, I'm going to fuck you senseless and

Liam's POVKai flips us over once more so that he is on top. My back hits the sofa with a thud.“You're so goddess damned handsome,” His eyes are cloudy with lust and I don't need to see a mirror to know that mine are the same. His body is cut like some god from Greek mythology, he could probably crack a nut with his biceps. Hard chiseled chest and a six pack worthy of being on the cover of a magazine, yet here he is, telling me that I was handsome.A blush crept up my neck, flushing my cheeks and I closed my eyes, hoping he didn't notice my reddened cheeks.“Are you blushing?” He chuckles.“You're so adorable, I want to put you in my pocket and carry you around, everywhere I go” He traces my clavicle, his breath fanning my face as he whispers sweet nothings into my ear.“I think of you every single second, you have wormed your way into my head and I can't help myself”My breathing comes in gasps, anticipating his next moves, my blood humming with excitement. This man is going to be

  • Puck Me, Sweet Captain   Chapter 20

Liam's POV“Fuck!” I wake up with a start. When did I fall asleep? I must have been exhausted after the incident at Kai's residence, because not only did I fall asleep at my desk, I was riddled with some sort of nightmare.I groan, rubbing my eyes and stretching. I really need to get it together, as a doctor I was very familiar with exhaustion, but when it becomes too much, that's dangerous territory. My throat is parched, I grab a glass and stand from my chair. There should be some water in the other room.I walk into the inner room, it's a little compartment space before my office that I use as a resting space sometimes.I walk right into a body and almost tumble, stopping myself from letting out a yelp.“Who- WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?” Not only was Kai Anderson in my inner office, he was slouched against the sofa like his knees couldn't hold him up.My doctor instincts kicked in.“What's wrong with you? Hey, sit down. What are you doing here?” I ask.He stumbled, like he
