ログインKai’s POV
“About?” I mutter.
“The treatment results, we have to marry as soon as possible.” She jumps up, giggling.
“Uhmm.” I scoff.
“Let’s talk over breakfast.” The Alpha says and I shake my head, a reflex. I nod right away, to erase suspicion.
“Okay.”
The moment they walk out, I jump back, shutting the door tight and rushing back to Liam. I tap on him, he stretches, yawns.
“Good morning, Dr……”
“Good morning….” Liam rises up, scanning round his environment, suddenly grabbing the back of my neck.
“Why do I sense extra scents?”
My eyes wander, I can’t tell. What if he thinks this is a setup?
But I have to.
“The Alpha is here with Cerise. Suspicious. Stay still.” I press his arms, giving an assuring glare. “I’ll make sure he doesn’t know you’re here.”
Liam says nothing, his face is twisted and he looks even more suspicious, then smiles.
“Fuck you, if you called The Alpha to set me up.”
“What? How can I do that?”
He rises up, angrily. “I’m gonna dress up now and leave.”
I smirk. “Yes, I called him and you’re leaving now, won’t he call you back?”
He drops to the bed. “For real? You did that?”
I say nothing, just a witty grin is enough to spice his terror. I slide in my request. “You did so well, last night. Just do what I say. Stay indoors and don’t come out, he won’t stay for long.”
“I’ve got something to tell you after meeting with them.”
An air of suspense lingers in the air.
I turn, going over to the bathroom to brush and bathe, before coming out to dress and head to the dining for breakfast. Liam continues to stare but I barely look.
Barely outside, I notice I’ve been limping. “Fuckkk!”
He pushes me back, sealing my lips. It’s then I realize his roaming eyes had been on my walking style.
“What do I tell them? They will notice and they will ask questions?” My fear breaks loose.
“Don’t worry!” He grins. Sliding his hand into my panties, he goes straight to my butt crack, feeling it, checking my face from time to time. I lean over his shoulders, hiding it.
Then he takes a cream from the drawer, pulls my panties down and begins to rub slowly and gently.
“This will help but you have to manage your walking steps.”
“Uhmm.”
I heed to his advice. Taking slow, daunted steps, unusual for an Alpha.
“What took you so long?” Cerise, the snoop asks. Vincent, my dad’s driver, is on the table. I ignore, stepping in to sit on my chair. Assorted dishes were already arranged and garnished. They were waiting for me to join them.
The moment I try to sit, a cracking sound escapes my lips as I shut my eyes. “Goshhh,” I groan.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Cerise asks.
“What’s wrong with you?” I lash out at her. “Why so many questions?”
“She’s just concerned about you.” Dad interferes.
“Nothing,” I reply.
A brief suspicious look follows before we begin to dig in.
“Why did you follow her here dad? She would have come alone.”
“I don’t have anything to do at the office, so I decided to step out a little. If you could invite a friend, I believe I can come here too?” His voice tints with such a dragging suspicion that I raise my eyes up, staring at him.
Then I nod. “You are but Liam only came here for treatment.” I whisper.
Who asked you?
The small voice in my head scolds.
My phone pings with a message notification. “How’s the situation at the table? Are they going back anytime soon?” Liam asks.
I hurriedly pick the phone. “No, nothing bad.” I text.
“It’s 7:20 AM. I need to go……soon. Is there no route at the back?” He asks.
“Sorry….” I feel disappointed to tell him. “The only way is through this hallway.” And there’s no way he will come pass without dad seeing him. Any slightest twitch on my face should raise suspicion. Even his scent when he passes by will mix with mine.
“Stay in for a little while please.” I beg.
“I’m a doctor for goodness sake. Do you want me being sanctioned? Do you think you can help?”
My Alpha dad clears his throat forcing me to raise my face. “You’ve been typing all along? Hope everything is okay?”
“Yes….yes.” I stammer.
A ‘What are you hiding?’ look strikes next.
“I want to use the restroom.” He says all of a sudden, rising up.
I rise too. “Dad, let me show you around.” I stammer.
He turns abruptly, lowering his gaze. “Show me? Am I a stranger here?” And leaves.
Cerise grabs my wrist. “Tell me, why are you so nervous?” I frown, dropping to my seat with a low grunt.
Silence.
My phone and texting him to mask his scent and stay indoors comes to mind. My dad is an advanced wolf, even masking his scent in his presence wouldn’t help, he will detect it.
No green light.
Fuck!
I bash my forehead, quickly eating to hide the awkward reaction.
I have to check my phone from time to time. A few seconds after dad returns, he’s back. Typing.
“Did you know I almost bumped into your dad in the restroom?”
“Woww, really? How? What did you do then?” My heart is thumping badly already.
My eyes glide up to dad to meet an already locked gaze. A massive trembling shock crusades my body. I drop my eyes back to the phone.
“I heard footsteps coming, I was already inside one of the restrooms about to step out. I have to stay still, mask my scent. No motion!”
I’m about to type a response but his text drops. “……my wolf tells me he suspects.”
I breathe deeply.
“Where’s Dr. Liam?” Dad asks and my wolf nearly jumps out of my body. I suppress the shock, drifting a steady look at him.
“What about him? You’ve been asking too much about….him.” I murmur, a little bit rudely.
Just praying this doesn’t escalate.
“If it’s about the treatment, we just began with more personal research. I believe we will be having a positive result soon.” I deviate from the topic. I listen around for the next question, none comes.
I relax, about to focus on my food when she speaks up. “As your fiancee, can I partake in this research?”
The walls which I’d built crumbles right away before my very presence. I look at her, thinking of what to do but nothing comes to mine.
I rise to leave but dad growls. “Sit!” An order that came with so much authority I can’t refuse.
“Call Liam for me!”
He didn’t even add Dr.
I gulp, hesitant but his fierce glance forced me into trying to mindlinked him.
Please pick!
Please pick!!
I mutter as the alert goes, inside me, I’m praying profusely within me. I have a lot to coach him on. He seems to be busy.
I gulp in deep breaths.
Their heavy suspicious eyes dwell on me but I ignore them.
Just as I was trying to mindlinked again, the door of the hallway which was slightly ajar opens and Liam’s figure appears in the hallway.
Fully dressed for work. I sit up, anxious.
My dad waves at him. “Come here, doctor. I’ve got a lot to speak to you about.”
Slowly I turn to him, Cerise smirks. What does he want to ask Liam?
Liam's POVThis is a tricky situation. The bulky envelope, no doubt containing money, is begging me to take it.“I cannot take that, Alpha.” I state. “ I'll do this as a favour to you, but offering me hush money is an insult to the hippocratic oath, and to my license” He smirks, Alpha Anderson is not the kind of man you say no to, I had only two options, do it without the bribe or do it with the bribe. I picked the one that eased my mind a little.“You're very smart, Doc. I'm glad you've decided to help me out” He lifts his leg from my table, standing with a grunt.“Well, I'll be on my way.” He said to me, then turns to his phone and dials up a number, “Send Gary in” Then he walks out without another word and I'm left reeling. Will I regret this decision I've made?Three minutes later, a knock sounds on my door.“Come in.”A young boy, about eighteen years old, walks in, head and shoulders slumped. What I notice though, is the way he walks, like he's in a lot of pain and discomfort.
Liam's POVI was very serious about me and Kai being strangers. He had no reason to be hurt about the fact that I wasn't acknowledging him or the numerous texts he had sent me since the last time we spoke. But he definitely was.He threw himself into the upcoming wedding with Cerise, posting regularly about it on his social media. He was popular, so I saw the posts; I was not stalking him or anything. My phone pings, and when I check it, I find out that his latest post on Twitter is blowing up.It's a picture of Kai and Cerise, both smiling wide, his arms around her as she nuzzles into him. With hashtags #iwouldnotwantitanyotherway #nohomoKai had personally sent it to my DM to ensure that I saw how happy he was with Cerise and that he didn't give a fuck about me.That was a tell on its own.I look up at my computer, then my phone pings again. If I receive another text concerning Kai’s homophobic post, I am going to block him and punch him the next time I see him.But it's not a text
Kai's POV I follow Liam around like a lost puppy. He's being very adamant and I don't know why I'm so hell-bent on him going on a date with me. I guess I want to sway him, make him change his mind about this being our last interaction.Liam hates me, or at least wants to avoid having anything to do with me, but I need Liam, before getting married to Cerise I need Liam to show me all that I have been missing.“Please?” I whine, tugging at his shirt as he goes into the kitchen, shuffling through utensils.“What the fuck is your problem.” He slams the butter knife on the counter, making me jump at the sound. “Leave me the fuck alone, you're getting married soon, why the hell won't you let me just be?” “I just want to treat you, before we cut all connections with each other” I whisper, looking down at my hands.I am Kai Anderson, I am not one to shy away from a tough situation and I definitely am not the type to cry. Shock passes through me as I feel my eyes get wet. With tears.“Are
Kai's POVMy thigh muscles spasm as we drive to Liam's apartment. I barely notice anything else, my blood thrumming in anticipation. He fishes out his key and unlocks the door.Immediately we're inside, I push him against the door, unbuckling his belt and dropping to my knees. His hands find my hair and I groan, pleasure rolling down my spine in waves. “Fuck Kai, you're so perfect.” He whispers, thrusting into my mouth, hitting the back of my throat. His hands are pulling my hair almost painfully, but the pain makes it even better. He's bucking and that's how I know he's about to come.“Get up,” he orders and I obey, our mouths crashing into each other. We move to his bedroom in a tangle of limbs, kissing and sucking and nipping. “Get on,” he says.I don't need to be told twice, I get on the bed, getting rid of my jeans. We're both stark naked, his perfect body gleaming with a sheen of sweat, he was a delight to look at.“Put your ass in the air, I'm going to fuck you senseless and
Liam's POVKai flips us over once more so that he is on top. My back hits the sofa with a thud.“You're so goddess damned handsome,” His eyes are cloudy with lust and I don't need to see a mirror to know that mine are the same. His body is cut like some god from Greek mythology, he could probably crack a nut with his biceps. Hard chiseled chest and a six pack worthy of being on the cover of a magazine, yet here he is, telling me that I was handsome.A blush crept up my neck, flushing my cheeks and I closed my eyes, hoping he didn't notice my reddened cheeks.“Are you blushing?” He chuckles.“You're so adorable, I want to put you in my pocket and carry you around, everywhere I go” He traces my clavicle, his breath fanning my face as he whispers sweet nothings into my ear.“I think of you every single second, you have wormed your way into my head and I can't help myself”My breathing comes in gasps, anticipating his next moves, my blood humming with excitement. This man is going to be
Liam's POV“Fuck!” I wake up with a start. When did I fall asleep? I must have been exhausted after the incident at Kai's residence, because not only did I fall asleep at my desk, I was riddled with some sort of nightmare.I groan, rubbing my eyes and stretching. I really need to get it together, as a doctor I was very familiar with exhaustion, but when it becomes too much, that's dangerous territory. My throat is parched, I grab a glass and stand from my chair. There should be some water in the other room.I walk into the inner room, it's a little compartment space before my office that I use as a resting space sometimes.I walk right into a body and almost tumble, stopping myself from letting out a yelp.“Who- WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?” Not only was Kai Anderson in my inner office, he was slouched against the sofa like his knees couldn't hold him up.My doctor instincts kicked in.“What's wrong with you? Hey, sit down. What are you doing here?” I ask.He stumbled, like he
