I returned my gaze at Luis and gave him a nod. Even though he gave me a worried look, I simply smiled at him before he finally stood from his seat and left the room. Now that only Alexander and I were left all alone, his peppermint perfume became more prominent than the antiseptic scent of the place.

I clutched at the thin blanket as I met his gaze.

“You won’t be able to force me in signing it,” I told him.

He smirked. “I can do anything, Fayalite, to make you do it. And while I am being nice, be obedient and just follow through with my decisions.”

This was one thing I did not like about him… his arrogance and inconsideration of my situation. Unlike Arsen, this very person did not have a single ounce of being considerate. After he forcefully barged into my life and put my plan into disarray, he wanted to leave as if he did no damage. He was just too selfish.
