I couldn’t believe what I just heard. My mouth went dry and I didn’t know how was I going to react. But at the same time, I couldn’t shake off the doubt I had towards Caley and the fact that he was friends with barbie and Lindsey. Maybe this was a facade that barbie planned to deceive me because she was bored. Or maybe I was just being too paranoid about every situation I was put in.
I snickered, rolling my eyes, and took in what he said.
I buried my face on the fluffy pillow that was already drenched with the tears that continuously fell down my eyes. I suppressed the sobs that were heaved in my chest, and my head was pulsating from the pain. My chest was about to explode, pounding rapidly in sync with my muffled sobs. Someone was rubbing my back, soothing the agony I felt at this moment. I didn’t want to weep in front of my friends, not because of a guy. This was just plain embarrassing and I had never experienced this before. I was used to guys pursuing me, and it seemed like the world was turned upside down.
His mouth gaped when I uttered those words, and he slightly threw his head back in disbelief. A smile played on his lips, and his face seemed to light up like he just heard the good news. He blinked his eyes for a couple of times, while I stared at him and chuckled.“I . . .” he stuttered as I giggled at his reaction. “I wasn’t too.”&n
Of course, what did I expect from her? She told them what happened when they were gone, and she told them how rebellious I was. This was her way of feeding her own ego and to make her look better than me. She was going too far about this. I was just letting her have it because of how greedy she was and I didn’t want my parents to get more infuriated at me.We stared at each other, longer than I expected. Her piercing brown eyes were shooting daggers at me as I gazed at her, clue
I jammed Emma’s doorbell a couple of times, as the breeze that blew on my skin made my body shiver. The wetness the tears had left on my cheeks had already dried up, and my lips that quivered from anxiousness a while ago was shaking from coldness right now. I wrapped my arms around myself, rubbing my palms on them to create heat to warm my freezing body. This occurrence was familiar. I could recall this happening when the night Liam and I had broken up. That was also the t
We all stared at him expectantly, as I looked at him with a stoic face. The difficult situation that I had with my parents last night suddenly flashed in my head. The immense pain I had gone through started surging in again. And it was all because I made a mistake with sleeping with him during the night at the party. The way my dad had raised his shirt in front of my face was still vivid in my head, and whenever I thought about it, I was filled with shame. Aside from all the hurtful words my parents had told me last
I immediately returned home after learning that Mom and Dad called Liam over. I knew this was their bait for getting me back at our house, but I didn’t care. I wouldn’t let them do something to him. I didn’t know what was the deal with him, but I wasn’t happy about it. My gut was telling me something that a horrible thing might come and I wasn’t ready for it.
Liam and I had arrived in the Golden Gate Park and we were now strolling along the pavements beside the blooming flowers that stretched to the other border. Our fingers were intertwined, and our arms were grazing at each other as we looked straight ahead. I’d never thought San Francisco had one of the best dating locations. I had never got a chance to explore all the places in California because I was stuck in Los Angeles and my parents wouldn’t let me travel this far. They also hated traveling, that’s why they were stuck up in that city along with us. If we would travel, it was always across the country, never around California nor the whole US itself. I remembered traveling to New York City for a week, Boston, and Philadelphia, I think those were the only cities I had been for my ent
I tucked the Panthers cropped top lower to my abdomen and pulled my skirt up to hide my belly-button. Tying my hair to a high-ponytail, I watched as our team prepared for the competition today, as they all scattered around and yelled at each other back and forth. Amanda was sitting in front of me, fixing her makeup as she held a small mirror in front of her face. She plastered a light makeup that accentuated her facial features as the highlighter made her skin look dewy. I turned to face my locker again and rummaged inside of it to find the body shimmer I had bought at Sephora yesterday and put some on my tanned skin, down to my abdomen to make me look glowing. I wanted everyone to see me, especially Liam. He made time to watch our competition.
