Chapter 97: Catch Him

I went back to my room right after what Dad had told me in the dining area. My heart that was once thumping from nervousness was now replaced by anger towards Dad. I couldn’t stand them and I was so tired of complying that I tried to continuously lash out from their grasp because they never treated me like a daughter. They treated their child as a retirement plan and it was such a shame. I detested it when they verbally abuse me to feed my sister’s ego so she could downgrade me more. They should be grateful that I was able to put up with so much that I hadn’t thought of retaliating. I respected them though I knew they were crossing the line and I was having a hard time understanding their expectations towards me. I was a human being after all and I wasn’t perfect.
