Elena spent the next few days resting and planning as much as possible to make her plan foolproof.

With the money she had taken from David, she paid for her cab and a few nights at the motel.

The moment she got there, she rested for a bit, then searched his wallet for money she could use to buy some stuff.

There was no loose change in his wallet, but she found two of his credit cards, which she used in the store.

She bought a box of hair dye, new clothes, painkillers, scissors, and some new shades.

Elena had been reluctant to use the credit cards to prevent David from tracing the transaction, but the cash she had found on David was low, so all she could do was hope he didn’t notice his missing wallet.
