My mate is between my best friend's legs. He's naked and his body is wet with sweat.

Today was supposed to be the coronation of the lycan King, Damien Chris, a man who I have loved for so long.

A man who I thought loved me just as much as I did.

But oh, was I wrong.

I stand at the slightly opened door of our chambers in the imperial palace. I had just come back from visiting his mother who was a very amiable woman.

Only to come back to this.

Damien and Lily.

I can't see her properly; my mate's huge bronze body covers her frail one.

I can see her dainty legs though; hanging in the crooks of his elbows as he rams into her.

“Uhhh, yes! Ugh! Your majesty!” Lily is crying in ecstasy.

With each moan, my heart drops a little lower. I must be dreaming. There's no way this is real.

I'm in so much denial and shock that I have to push the door open to confirm. The both of them immediately look towards me.

They're both naked; lily has so many bite and claw marks over her body.

One in particular catches my eyes though— the mating mark on her neck. It's deep, raw and very fresh.

Every single bone in my body goes stiff.

“D-damien? Lily?” My voice is very hoarse. My mate scrambles for some clothes.

I notice that he's not exactly bothered; there's no guilt in his movements. When he looks at me, deep brown eyes piercing mine, there's no remorse in them.

I shake my head and look at Lily who has just casually slipped on a robe. She looks irritated.

My mate is the first to speak; voice low and deep.

“You shouldn't have seen this, Madeline.” That's all he says. As though it is my fault that they were making love illicitly.

I'm so stunned no words come out of my mouth.

Before I can compose myself, Damien grabs Lily by the waist. The latter coos and giggles.

My best friend…

The woman I had shared my every joy and sorrow with.

She was the daughter of a rogue leader but had ran from home. Being an omega in this palace, I really couldn't help her much. But because my mate was the king, she was instantly accepted on my behalf.

Looking at them now; I can tell the reason he accepted her.

He always wanted her.

“See this?” Damien hisses, pointing the mark on Lily's neck.

“This is a symbol of our mate bond. I planned to break the news to you in a more softened manner. But you just had to be stupid enough to come in here. Well, it's your mistake.”

I shake my head at Damien's cruel words. My heart desperately wants all this to be a trick.

But it's not; the ruffled sheets and faint smell of arousal in the air tell me all I need to know.

I shatter inside.

“You…you betrayed me,” I whisper, looking to the ground.

“Yes. He did. We both did. Now he will reject you and we will both have our peace. I truly care for you, Maddy. But I love the king…I accept I made a mist—”

Before she can spew more rubbish, I lunge at her with anger.

“You witch! You horrible witch! You stole everything from me!”

I don't get close enough to hit her— Damien catches my arm and in a second, he throws me to the ground with force.

My world goes black for one second and it takes a while for me to come through.

I start laughing maniacally— it's all my brain can afford to do now.

“D-do you think the kingdom will accept their king to have a rogue as a Luna? You're delusional!”

Damien's face twitches— I know I've hit a nerve.

“And you think the kingdom will want a nameless, spineless omega as their queen? At least, Lily here is a beta's daughter. She has a strong bloodline. You, on the other hand…you are dust.”

His words carve me up like a knife. Lily's laughter that follows makes me want to bury myself in the ground.

Dust…

As my brain struggles to process this information, I hear Damien saying something.

“I, Damien Chris, Lycan King heir of Ker kingdom, reject you, Madeline Gus of Wooline pack.”

Such simple words.

Such hefty repercussions.

The instant these words leave his mouth; my entire body goes into shock.

It's like thousands of needles bury themselves into my spine, killing the nerves one by one and making my body heat up like the sun.

I cry aloud and writhe on the ground. My love, my devotion, my bond.

Everything shatters.

As I wail in horrible pain, I hear my ex best friend say something to the king.

“We cannot just let her go…if people find out about this, you'll be criticized and the throne might be taken away from you. Let us get rid of her now then hide our relationship till you are in power.”

My heart drops immediately.

What?

My vision is still blurry but I can see my former mate nod.

The fire of rejection is all consuming— almost like tasting death itself.

But I have to quickly try to regain my senses before they can act on their plan.

However, my body is far too weak to obey my commands.

I want to run, I want to scream, I want to tear at everything and burn all they have down.

But my soul and bones have been weakened by the rejection. I cannot move.

My eyes clear up though, and I watch with horror as a man who I loved so dearly, draws his claws against me.

“You shouldn't have found out, Madeline. You'd have lived if you had just stayed away.”

I open my mouth to plead for some form of mercy; to beg for the one thing I have left.

My life.

But Damien and his mistress won't stop at wrecking me— my life too is at their mercy.

With one swift blow, Damien's claws enter my stomach.

Blood gurgles from my mouth and my vision immediately spots.

“Rest now, Madeline. Return to the dust you came from.”

Sounds and sights immediately disappear as the underworld welcomes me.

Whatever had I done to deserve this?

Weak. You were weak.

No.Ice cold fear froze the blood in my veins, and the scream didn't even make it past my clogged throat. I clutched at the side of the hug tub, I was lounging in, feeling panic ridden. The figure stepped out from the darkest part of my wash room, and allowed the light to briefly drape over him, before he stepped back in. Recognition closely followed by horror immediately hit me like a wagon as I realized just who was standing there. A dark lone figure in my private wash room, simply watching me. I wrapped my arms around my neck, even though the rest of my body was submerged in water. What was he doing here? The words I wanted to say died in my throat, and I could into stare at him in mortification. "What are you doing here?" I asked, slowly. That seemed to be the pattern whenever I saw him—I would wonder how he had gotten close enough to me inside the palace, and he would br

  • REBORN LUNA'S REVENGE    Alone

My whole body was shaking all over, and I couldn't exactly tell if it was from rage or despair. I hated Damien. Maybe this was why my inner wolf couldn't even stand being in his presence anymore. He was a mindless monster, and his apology? All of it was garbage. Just worthless garbage to keep me in his hold. I had been a fool to fall for it, and now I was paying the price. A panicked cry tore out of my lady in waiting as she tried to close the distance between us. "My alpha? My lady?" Her tone was still questioning, like she couldn't believe what she was seeing. If I wasn't standing before her in a torn garment, and probably a bloody lower lip from the slap Damien had given me, I wouldn't have believed it too. My own mate had tried to take advantage of me. It didn't matter that I was supposed to belong to him alone, or that he was fated to me by the goddesses. He'd clearly m

I let out my tongue to wet my lips, and Damien's gaze followed the action with a thirsty look in his eyes.Goddess save me! "Uh, we can do that!" I shrieked, saying one thing with my mouth, but doing another, by putting some distance between us. His brows furrowed between each other, and his hand on me dropped. I sighed because I could finally breath again. But Damien had an agitated look on his face, that bothered on perplexed and annoyed. I gulped unevenly. "Some of our guests are already here. Don't you think it'll be a little rude if they catch us—" He closed more distance between us again. "This is my palace, Madeline. I can do what I please, with whoever I please." Madeline. Not Maddy. The warning was clear in his tone. If I didn't want this, then there were people who did. An alpha taking a mistress wasn't as frowned upon as I would imagine, as long as he acknowledged

Thankfully, the rest of the welcomes went down without a hitch. Although I was a little surprised that most of the representatives from the foxes, coyotes, and snakes clan weren't exactly the ones I had met when the bear pack had captured me. Did it mean that those people were working behind their alpha's backs, or had there been a change of leaders in the recent times. It wouldn't be all that surprising if there were. Everyone knew that only the wolves kept a strict hand on leadership. Our alpha's were our alpha's, and feelings on the matter didn't change anything, because alpha's were always going to be predominantly stronger than other werewolves. We had Alphas, Betas, Gammas, and then Omegas. There were the Ordinaries too—those who were neither of the four, and almost like humans. The safest place for the Ordinaries to live in had always been Ker, ruled by a werewolf alpha, because we didn'

  • REBORN LUNA'S REVENGE    Winning Alpha

A silent sound escaped my throat before the bear clan raised an interested brow up. His massive had stopped Damien's before he could even make the hit, and my breathing stopped. My widened eyes darted between my mate and the predator which still had his shifted claws in his hold. Angus was still looking at me, and Damien was wincing in pain. For a moment, I realized that without his father, Damien wasn't ever going to be anything.I should have known though. Why else would the alpha of the bear clan walk into his palace without any fear of repercussion, especially after he'd nearly taken his life, and captured his mate once. To Alpha Angus, Damien was weak. "Stop it." I whispered harshly, not sparing my mate a glance. "You're still out guest." The massive man squeezed his hand tighter, and Damien raised his second hand at him, again. Angus knew what he was doing. Damien would never signal his guards over here, because then he would be seen for what he was—weak. And as long

The hair on the back of my neck stood at attention, a sliver of awareness slithering through my skin, until it felt like I was shaking from it. Damien's hold on me tightened by a fraction, and I let myself inhale the warmth he was exuding. It wasn't enough. Damien wasn't the one who had saved me from this man when he'd captured me and nearly had his wicked way with me. He wasn't the one my body craved when I felt like that danger would engulf me again. My inner wolf wanted—no needed someone else to feel safe. But all I had right now was Damien, so I needed to make do with it. I tried to relax just slightly, forcing my head to remain held high, as I and my mate turned at the same time, to the voice who had spoken. "Alpha Angus, it's a pleasure to see that you've received our invitation with much grace."I droned out the words like a corpse who—without any feeling at all, and all three of us knew it was a lie. Damien created some distance between us, and shot s venomous look a
