Chapter 1

ONE: SANDRA’S POV.

It was the D-day—the day I dreaded the most..

My father was to marry me off to an unknown stranger, or should I say—sell me off.

I had always wished that this day never came the moment my father told me about his plans to get me engaged to a Lycan King..

I couldn’t care less if he was a king or not—but I wasn’t happy because I haven’t met the so-called person before.

When I was still a kid, I felt loved by my father—unknown to me that he was doing that to further his political alliances.

Broken and hurt was what I felt when I found out—

“But what could I do?” I wondered slightly

I didn’t have the right to confront him about anything—nor did I have the right to ask him any questions.

Breathing deeply with closed eyes, The air soothed my skin giving me a feeling of satisfaction—

Knowing that I was a rare breed of a silver omega also made me aware of the reason why my father used it me as a bait to further his political career.

My mind suddenly flashed back to how things were when I was still little—how my father loved me until the day I mistakenly overheard his conversation with his Beta.

“What did the Lycan King say?” My father had questioned his Beta with creased brows.

“He has agreed to the marriage of his son and your daughter,” The Beta replied with his head bowed as a sign of respect.

I could faintly see the sly smile on my father’s face that day—as I was also shocked the moment I heard the next words that escaped his lips.

“Now that sounds better—Sandra turned out to be good bait for me,” He said and I felt my eyes widened in shock.

It wasn’t something that left my mind immediately, instead—those words he said kept on resounding in my head every single time I thought about it.

All thanks to my father—I wasn’t getting married for love or mate bond—but I was just getting married to help him politically.

At times, I asked myself if I was truly his daughter because there was no way that he could be that heartless towards his own blood.

Sighing deeply, I wondered if the fact I turned out to be a rare breed of a silver omega was a good thing—or if it was a bad thing since my father just used that opportunity for his own benefit.

I was still lost in thoughts when I heard my name being called loudly—jolting me back to reality.

“Yes!” I answered as loud as possible as I rushed back into the house to see a young lady at about my age—flashing me a weird smile.

It seemed like she was the one in charge of getting me ready.

“It’s time you begin to dress up,” She said and I breathed deeply, nodding my head.

I wasn’t happy, but never knew it was that obvious until I heard her say—

“At least, please keep a faint smile on your face,” She said and I sighed deeply, facepalming myself in the process.

I nodded, and walked out of that place towards my room—

My room seemed unfamiliar to me when i entered it—and the reason it seemed like that may be because I had removed my mind from staying in my pack again—

I felt uneasy!

I felt unloved by the person who I have always felt loved me the most!

My father had broken my trust, and it seemed that way probably because I had no say of my own—I was an Omega.

Truthfully, my father had shown me love—but that was not the same for other people in the pack, because they treated me like a slave.

I couldn’t muster enough courage to tell my father about it, and not even after I had figured out that he never loved me—

Everything was just because of his political career.

I had wondered if my mate was a handsome man—but still, I didn’t have any answer to that, all I could just do that moment was to hope and wish.

I had heard that it was good to get married to someone the moon goddess destined for you—your mate.

All I could do was to hope and wish that I meet my mate immediately, but everything shattered the moment I heard that my father had fixed an alliance for me with a Lycan King from another pack.

It was a distressing moment for me, because that was something I had never expected—and all I could do was to wish that this day never comes.

I wish I could just run away, but then—the security was very tight and it seemed as if my father had suspected that I’d run away, and that was why he tightened the security.

There was nothing I could do again—I didn’t have the courage to tell my father that I wasn’t interested in getting married to the Lycan King....so all I did was to play along.

I sighted my dress on the bed and I heaved deeply—

The day was there and I didn’t have any other choice than to go on with the engagement ceremony with the stranger.

Slipping into the dress, the maids started by getting me ready—

They did my hairstyle and wore my shoes like a princess—

Then the girl walked inside and began to make me up—she worked on it for about thirty minutes before handing me a mirror to glance at myself.

Sighing deeply, I glanced at myself at the mirror and my eyes widened.

That wasn’t me!

I looked very different and.....beautiful.

Flashing the girl a smile, I couldn’t help but stare at myself more....

“All this was happening cause of my engagement ceremony,” I kept on reminding myself in order not to get carried away by my beauty.

“So it’s happening?” I wondered and hissed silently.

I wished it was a dream that I could wake up from, but sadly—it wasn’t.
