“Why do you like me to be your mama?” I asked him instead.

“Because I feel a connection with you.”

“Wow!” That was the only thing I could utter.

“Come here. Someone is coming!” Abruptly, I squeezed Jack to me as we heard someone's steps approaching where we were.

I could hear Jack's heart beating as I hugged him tightly while covering his mouth with my hand so that he wouldn't produce any noise.

I was also scared but I had to act with all courage because of Jack.
