Ansel's jaw tightened. "So he is already here for revenge?," he asked grimly.

"You killed his brother." Amos continued and Ansel just smiled darkly.

"They also killed four people in the wee hours of the morning. I tried to tell you but..."

"Enough! I have heard you!" Ansel's eyes were dark as he stopped his brother from continuing.

He knew very well that his brother would blame everything on his mate.

"Is that all?" He continued after calming his rage down.

"The council."

"What's wrong with the council?" Ansel's eyes flew open.

"They are still not sure if the girl died in the war as you promised them." The man just smiled.

He knew they were all against his Edna.

Who knew, maybe someone told them that Edna was still breathing and was still in the pack.

He needed to do something.

"Tell them that she died in the war!" He turned abruptly and glared at his brother, "Am I clear?"

"Of course, Alpha."

"Good."

Also just gritted his teeth secretly unaware of what to say.
