SEBASTIAN
Athena strolled up the stairs, not even sparing me a glance as she spoke those words, even though I had frozen and turned to stare at her. Why did Sienna see her today? The thought was stuck in my head and I strolled over to my car and got in. I drove out of Athena's home and I couldn't help the pang of hurt that plagued my heart as my car took me farther and farther away from her with every second that passed. I didn't want to leave her. I had lost her once. I wouldn't lose her again. At least, I wish so. It doesn't take a seer to realise hat Athena was done with me, and I honestly can't blame her. I deserved every bit of the hatred she showed me. Even worse, I deserved more than she did. I stopped at a restaurant just a little distance out of the woods that shrouded her home, where Nathan was standing outside, waiting for me. I had asked him to wait here and not accompany me when I saw her. He gave a small bow and walked over to the passenger's side and entered the car. "How did it go?" He asked once I started moving again. I shrugged in response. "About as well as I would have expected. She threw me out of her house , but she seemed to be doing fine. She must have recovered quite a bit." Nathan nodded along as I spoke. "That is good then. Now, you can focus on other things." "Nathan, what do you think of Athena?" "I don't think we were close enough for me to have an impression of her," he shrugged. "You never said much to her or dealt much with her except orders so I never exactly got an opportunity to get to know her before she left." He paused and I thought that was al but he spoke again just as I was about to speak. "But, if you ask me what I think about her, I would say five years ago, she was trapped. She was a caged beast. Now, she has been unleashed. She has tastes freedom and now, she was forging herself into an authority." I stared at him for a few seconds. "That does sound like her. She has indeed changed." "Not changed," Nathan shook his head. "I think she has simply grown. She has grown so much that it looked like change even though it's far from it." I couldn't think of a reply to that so I chose not to. Nathan adjusted uncomfortably and I stared at him for a long second before turning away with a tired sigh. "You would be more comfortable if you wore a suit your freaking size." "This is my size, Alpha." I scoffed at that. "A little bigger then. That thing looks like it would rip and tear any second now." He scoffed in response but said nothing as I kept driving. We drove straight to the office where I was met with a panicked secretary. I gave her a puzzled look as she hurried over to me. Her grey suit billowed behind her as she hurried to me and her eyes widened in relief at my arrival. "What's the problem, Dawn?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. "Madam Sienna is here, Alpha," she said with a panicked voice. "And she doesn't look happy. She's been demanding to see you or know where you went to." I nodded in acknowledgement as I frowned. What was Sienna doing here? I got into the elevator, Nathan on one side and Dawn on the other. We arrived on the hallway leading to my office and I opened the door to Dawn's office which stood just in front of mine. I could already feel Sienna on the other end in my office and I could already tell why Dawn was so scared. Sienna was seething. I strolled over to the door and she immediately jumped from her seat to glare at me. "Where the fuck have you been, Sebastian?" I gave her a cold stare and then turned to the two behind me. "Wait outside, both of you." They both nodded and immediately made themselves scarce, Nathan gently shutting the door behind him. I turned my attention to Sienna. "What's the meaning of this?" "I asked you a fucking question," she scowled. "Answer my question, Sebastian!" I ignored her tantrum and strolled past her over to my table. "This is a place of work, Sienna. Stop making a scene." "I will do what I want if you won't answer a simple damn question!" She yelled. "You were supposed to be at your place of work! Where the fuck were you?!" I frowned at that. This was beginning to get annoying. "Sine when did I owe you an explanation for my affairs?" I hissed. My voice was cold. My eyes were not glowing but she could feel the power in them. I could see her visibly shudder under the pressure I exerted and she took an involuntary step back. But, her glare remained. "Since, that bitch came back to Dradesvow," she replied, a lot calmer than she was a second ago. I lifted an eyebrow in mock surprise. "All of this was about Athena? You're scared of Athena?" "I am not scared of the wench," she said through gritted teeth. "I am convinced that you are forgetting that she left you. You re forgetting that we are about to have our mating ceremony. You are forgetting the five fucking years of our lives together." Her glare softened and her eyes were almost pleading. Her voice also softened. "Convince me otherwise, Sebastian. Please." For just a second I pitied her. Her suspicions weren't wrong. I had in fact been with Athena before coming here. "I have forgotten nothing," I replied calmly as I sat down on my seat. "I have reasons I intend to not disclose. Our mating ceremony will occur as planned and Athena's presence will not change that." She visibly relaxed at those words. "One warning, Sienna," I said as I leaned forward. "The next time you pull this shit again, I'll make sure you pay for it.”SEBASTIAN Nothing memorable? Did she say there was nothing memorable about the house we both loved in for years? I wasn't hurt by those words, I was angered. I can understand why she would hate me, but we've had our moments in this house. It wasn't all bad. It was memorable. I might not have shown it, but I enjoyed our time together. I hoped against all hope that she remembered the good times and probably enjoyed them too. It surprisingly hurtful that she doesn't. "Well, I'm glad," Sienna said cheerily. "I was hoping I didn't unsettle you."I knew what she was doing. She arranged this just for this. She wanted a reaction out of this. It was annoying but I can't deny the fact that it was working. When we arrived at the living room, I was once again assaulted by pictures of me and Sienna. Pictures I didn't even know existed until now. She had them everywhere. "Don't you like it, darling?" She said in a sing song voice as she leaned into my arm."I think I do," Athena smil
SIENNAThe mansion bustled with activity as I hustled to get everything in order. The maids cleaned the halls even harder than they usually did. They decorated as lavishly as they could. They cooked the best meals with the utmost effort. In a matter of hours, the mansion had been completely transformed. Now, it truly looked and felt like a palace worthy of royalty. One would assume we were getting ready for a ball or for some important event, but they'd be quite distant from the truth. The reason was a lot more petty than that. Athena was coming over. I personally requested that she came over. I needed to show her that I am a better Luna than she ever was in all aspects of the word. I wanted to see the jealousy in her eyes. I wanted to see that expression of defeat in her eyes, and I was ready to work hard for it. My assistant, Rachel, hurried over to my side as I yelled at a pair of sluggish maids. "The Alpha has arrived," she informed me. I grinned at that word and hurried
SEBASTIAN Athena stared at my hand for a few seconds Nd then stepped out of the helicopter on her own, without taking it. "No, thank you," she said as she strolled past me. "I don't need your help."That hurt. I know I deserved it but that really hurt. I forced a smile as I turned to walk beside her."People usually accept the hand out of courtesy, not out of necessity," I said with my smile still plastered on my face. "Well, it wasn't necessary," she replied with a shrug and then to stare at me as she walked, causing me to stare back. "And I don't owe you any courtesy.""That's fair enough," I nodded as we reached the elevator. "It was quite hurtful still.""Too bad," she shrugged as she pressed the number six on the elevator. It was a swift and silent ride down one floor and we were soon standing in a pretty wide hallway with her assistant who had been waiting in front of the elevator and seemed shocked to see me with Athena."Good morning, Alpha," she bowed in greeting. "I did
ATHENAThe drive to the office was one that I thoroughly enjoyed. Bella had gone ahead earlier than me to get things ready and adjust my schedule for the day. I suddenly realised how much I've missed being able to enjoy my time on drives alone. When I left Dradesvow, all I could do was spend time alone as I was too busy to make friends or connections outside business and that meant a lot of alone time to study. We soon arrived at the office building, a massive structure with a showroom spanning through the entire bottom floor, offices on the second and third floors, a smaller but more expensive showroom on the fifth floor, and mine and Bella's office on the entire sixth floor. I noticed a small crowd at the entrance. They were trying to be discreet but it was obvious that they were failing at it. Some sat on benches around with their jackets draped over something I suspect was a camera, others tried fooling themselves like they were leisurely strolling around except for the fact t
ATHENAFor the first time since I arrived at the Black Moon Pack, I decided to step out of the mansionand just explore the Pack's estate where my home was situated. I had never taken a walk in all the time I was here so it seemed quite fitting to just let myself enjoy the sights. I had nothing better to do anyways.Bella insisted to no avail to accompany me or at least allow a guard to, but I refused. I needed this time to myself, and I'm petty sure I can handle myself in the pack I grew up.It took a while of convincing, cajoling and coercing before she finally decided to trust me and let me leave on my own. The scenery of the pack as I went about my evening stroll was quite nostalgic. In the past, I never really went out much since I lived at the Alpha's mansion and that diminished even further when I caught the Alpha's fancy as a guinea pig for Sienna's condition. Now, that I think of it, I was such a fool to have stayed so long. Who abuses the woman they had even an ounce of
SEBASTIAN The day has been quite slow. One filled with a blur of words and numbers as I read through documents and approved contracts. It was quite tiring to deal with. In fact, it was my least favourite part of being successful. With a sigh, I leaned back away from the computer screen and let out an exhausted sigh. Business have been great lately, especially since it was made public that I had been able to pull Valerian's CEO into Dradesvow for a more personal attention to my mating ceremony's jewelry. A lot of people have tried to get in contact with her through me, especially those who are hoping to establish a more intimate connection with her. Now that I think about it, I've been very hostile to those ones who desire intimacy with her. I know I shouldn't be trying to keep them away from her. If Athena heard of this, she'd say I had no rights over her and no right to act like I did, but so what? I can't excuse the fact that I failed her, but I also can't deny the fact that
