3. I'm Back

SUSANNA……

I woke up with a gasp and sat straight on the bed breathing heavily. My heart was pounding loudly against my ribcage. I looked around the room feeling confused.

The events of last night flashed through my mind. The assassin's attack, the stabbing, Charles, and Jenny's betrayal, losing my power, my child's murderer, and my death everything.

My hand clutched the left side of my chest as I felt an agonizing pain in my heart while remembering those incidents. My head was spinning and aching badly, not being able to understand anything.

"I was dead, then how come I'm alive now?" I was wondering, suddenly a loud bang on the door brought me back from my thoughts. I shuffled off the bed and moved to the door to open it.

As soon as I opened the door I spotted someone there. Rage rushed through my body seeing them standing in front of me. I wanted nothing at that time, just to kill them with my bare hand. My palms hurt as my nails dug into my flesh because of the tight clutch.

Charles was standing before me holding a worried face. I gritted my jaw as I felt hatred and anger burn deep in my veins.

"Baby, are you alright?" Charles's sugar-coated voice disgusted me. I stepped back as he took a step forward at me. Charles stared at me in amazement.

"What happened, baby girl?" Charles reached out his hand to touch me while taking a step forward but I held up my hand stopping him.

My eyes fall on the person standing next to him. Charles wasn't alone there, there was another person present with him, she would be the last person in the world whom I would want to see at this time. And it was Jenny. Both of my murderers were standing in front of me with fake concerned faces.

Looking at them brought back all the horrible memories. My hand flew to clutch my head as suddenly a sharp ting sound echoed throughout my mind that made it difficult for me to bear.

"Su Su, are you feeling unwell? Let me take you to the pack doctor." Charles came near me and I glared at him with my blazing eyes.

"Stop pretending and leave me alone." I quivered with frustration. So I just shut the door in their faces. And moved inside. I picked up a pillow and threw it in anger.

"What's happening to me? Everything seemed so confusing. Was it all just a dream?" I was so confused and frustrated at the same time that I pulled my hair in frustration.

Suddenly my gaze fell on my reflection in the mirror. I frowned at it and went close to it to have a better look.

I looked at the beautiful face in the mirror in a daze. I pulled down my top a little as the scar on my collarbone was gone that I got someday ago. I frowned confusedly looking closely at my face in the mirror. Suddenly my phone beeped flashing a message on the screen. My phone was placed on the table down from the mirror.

As my gaze fell on my phone my eyes went wide in astonishment when I saw the date reflecting on the screen. I immediately picked up the phone and looked keenly to make sure I wasn't seeing wrong. But it was showing the same. November 29th, 2018. It was exactly five years before they killed me.

My hand flew to my mouth. "Oh, my Goddess, I've been reborn." My eyes grew wide in shock as I realized the miracle just happened in my life.

I still could not believe that the Moon Goddess had granted my last wish before dying and given me a second chance to correct my mistakes. I started jumping with joy. But suddenly my gaze fell on the mark on my neck given by Charles.

"Shit! I'm late. I have already let him mark me." I hissed as my hand made contact with the place. So I'm back after the day he marked me."

Suddenly I heard a voice from behind which startled me, making me jump.

"Su Su, What happened to you, baby? Are you feeling unwell? I have called the doctor to check on you. He is on his way." I watched as Charles walked to me and reached out his hand to touch my face but I jerked his hand away.

"Don't touch me." I snarled at him, glaring at him.

"What's the matter, Su su?" He wrinkled his eyebrows in confusion.

"Why are you behaving so strangely? Did I do something that offended you? Just name it. I will punish myself or make it up to you. You know how much I love you. I can't bear your ignorance. It kills me."

I held back a sneer. I cringed hearing his cheesy lines. Back then I used to melt by his words. But now I know it's all just an act. I couldn't believe that I was so stupid to fall for this snake. I don't understand what I had seen in him to fall head over heels for him back then. He wasn't even that good-looking with his hazelnut eyes and chocolate-brown short hair. And he wasn't muscular at all. He was just average in every way.

'He wants to become the Alpha? Did he ever see his face in the mirror? What quality does he have to become an Alpha? He was nothing compared to Leonardo. Where he's enchantingly beautiful. I had never seen anyone so tall and admirably handsome all in one, along with a strong dominating aura that radiated from him, proving power and vitality. He looks calm but exceptionally dangerous. Though he looks like a coconut shell on the outside, he's soft as a marshmallow on the inside. But he never shows his soft side to anyone. He thinks people think a soft-hearted person is weak. He has a sexy eight-pack body and well-built muscles which is enough to tremble the enemy.'

What happened to me? Why am I thinking about him? I should not think about that iceberg. He's the kind of person you think to do wrong to me and I'll destroy you. So it's better to stay away from him.

"Baby, where are you lost?" I flinched at the contact of Charles's hand on my skin. But I immediately composed myself.

"Sorry, dear. I'm not feeling well. I'm feeling dizzy." I pulled up a weak face and sat on the chair.

"Mark…." Charles Screamed out and one guard got in with his head down.

"Where's the doctor? Why hasn't he showed up yet? Your Princess is feeling unwell, go and bring him asap." Charles yelled at him and the guard nodded his head and immediately scooted off.

"Don't worry, sweetheart. You will be fine. Let me take you to the bed." I stood up and he took me to the bed by holding my shoulder. I wanted to rip his hand off his shoulder for touching me.

I leaned on the headboard while Charles sat beside me. I wanted to kick him off the bed badly but I restrained myself from doing that.

"Charles, I want to see Dad. Where's he?"

Clarke's eyebrows wrinkled. "Why are you asking about him so suddenly? Is everything alright?"I smiled at him.

"No, everything is alright. I just wanted to talk to him."

"Ohh!" Charles looked relieved.

"He's out of town for some important business. He will be back tomorrow. Moreover, the day after tomorrow it's a big day for him." This time I looked at him with confusion.

"What big day?" Charles looked at me as if I had grown two horns.

"You don't even remember that now?" Charles was shocked. I tried to recall but everything seemed too messed up in my mind. I needed time to recall everything.

"Your father and mother's 20th marriage anniversary party and our last movie's success party. Our movie was released yesterday and was a hit. That's why we held a success party. Remember." I remembered and felt happy that now I could see Dad and sort out the conflict between us. But alas! I have to wait till tomorrow.

"I remembered. " I smiled at him and just then there was a knock on the door.

"Princess." I heard the voice of the pack's lady doctor. With my permission, she got in.

"You may leave, young man." The doctor indicated Charles who was sitting beside me.

"I'm her mate," Charles argued.

"Charles, please leave," Charles stared at me, shock imprinted on his face.

"Okay." Gritting his teeth he left the room annoyedly.

The doctor checked me and told me to rest a bit. Saying that I was just tired. As soon as the doctor left I closed the door and locked it so that no one could come to disturb me, especially Charles.

I picked up my phone and called someone. "Melanie, do me a favor……"

I placed the phone on the table after making an important call and walked to my full-length mirror and looked at my reflection with blazing eyes and a hard face. "I will not spare any of you. I will make you taste the same medicine you gave me. I will make your life a living hell. This pain, this lie, has become smoldering lava inside me. Such lava in which I will burn my every enemy. I will make you cry tears of blood. Every drop of blood in your body will beg me to spare you. But I won't. I will take great revenge on each one. I will give death to each one. Such a death that even your soul will tremble. I will play with you the same way you did to me. Only then I can sit in peace. My sole agenda in this life is to take revenge for my death, and my child's death. I will avenge my beloved one's death. Oh my enemies, my revenge has begun. This Alpha has come to take her revenge." I made an oath with determination.
