REVENGE OF THE FEMALE ALPHA

SUSANNA……

"Who are you?" I asked the lady standing before me in a black cape. My heart was hammering in my chest in apprehension.

I could not see the person's face, only a pair of bright purple eyes were glowing from inside the cape but I could sense that the person was up to no good. Because both of us were standing near the edge of the cliff. I could hear the sound of the seashore flowing down the cliff.

"I'm Charles's Mate. You snatched my mate away from me, you bloody bitch. Because of you, I have to live a lonely life for six years. But now it's enough. I'll take back what's mine." The lady yelled at me holding venom in her voice. I was taken aback by her sudden outburst. And I was amazed by her guts. She had the guts to claim my husband as her mate. How dare she?

"Huhh! You can't take him back. He's mine and will always be mine." I was seething with rage and lunged at her to attack her but that lady was fast enough to tackle me and held me firmly against her body by my back. I kept struggling to get free from her clutch but could not do so.

I heard the lady laugh maliciously, "You know, You have to be alive to claim him. How will you get Charles when you yourself will not be alive?" Saying that she pushed me off her. And I turned around to look at the lady with my blazing eyes. But the mysterious lady smirked at me maliciously.

"You know I feel pity for you. Because the person you love most in this world doesn't even care about you at all. All he wants is your position. He's just fooling you, Stupid woman." The mysterious lady laughed at me mockingly.

My fists turned into a ball in rage. "No,"

"You are lying. You are just spouting nonsense. You think you can kill me? Huhh! You wish." Saying that I lunged at her to attack her but before I could attack her I felt an extreme pain in my belly, something sharp piercing deep inside of my body. A painful gasp left my mouth as I felt her twist the blade in my belly.

Tears rolled down my eyes as I felt like dying inside with the pain. The pain I was feeling was immense. That means the silver blade she had used had something else laced with which was giving me more pain. An agonizing shriek left my mouth when she pulled the blade out of my body which felt like she pulled my soul out of my body.

Then she kicked me on the belly and I found myself falling off the cliff. "Goodbye, darling. Enjoy in hell." Venom was dripping from her mouth with each word as she looked down waving her hand at me. I just kept looking at the mysterious girl with my tear-filled eyes. Soon my body fell into the ocean, I felt suffocated as I found myself drowning deep into it.

With a loud gasp, I woke up with a jerk and sat straight on the chair breathing heavily and sweating profusely. My heart was hammering inside my chest. Looking around my surroundings I found myself in my study room. I immediately took the glass of water and gulped it in one go, still breathing heavily.

"You had a bad dream?" I snapped my head at the source of the voice and found Charles entering the study room. I didn't waste a second and ran to him and wrapped my arms around his neck hugging him tightly.

Charles wrapped his arms around my body and held me close to him. "Calm down. It was just a dream." Charles said, stroking my hair softly. I felt a little better in his arms as my heartbeat calmed a bit down.

"It was just not a bad dream, Charles….. It was more than that." I squeezed my eyes tightly while tightening my grip around him in fear of losing him.

He was my whole world. I could not imagine my life without him. The mere thought of losing him gives me an unbearable pain in my heart. I felt like a thousand arrows pierced my heart.

I have been in love with him since childhood. I chose him over my fated mate whom the Moon Goddess had chosen for me and let him mark me on my eighteenth birthday. I never knew who my fated mate was. And I don't care at all. Because for me Charles was the best life partner I could ask for.

"You know what I saw?" I paused as my heart tightened with pain. I felt tears streaming down my eyes and a sob escaped my mouth as the memory of my dream flashed in my mind like a movie.

"I saw your mate claiming you as her mate. And she even killed me to get you." Saying that my lips trembled and I could not hold myself from breaking into tears. I was crying and sobbing badly while tightening my grip around him.

"Sshhh! Stop crying. It was just a bad dream. I'm all yours. No one can snatch me from you. And about the matter of killing you, while I am alive, no one can break even a single hair of yours. Let alone killing you." I pulled away from him and looked into his eyes with my tearful eyes. I was holding my tears back and the pain was still there in my heart.

I held his face tenderly while looking into his eyes holding a pool of emotions in my eyes. "You won't leave me, right?"

I saw Charles's lips curved up in a smile and he shook his head from left to right. "Never."

I smiled broadly and wrapped my arms around his torso while placing my head on his chest. "Please, never leave me. Or don't you dare to cheat on me? I will die but not before killing you." Charles chuckled at my words but tightened his grip around me.

"Don't worry, such a situation will never come. I want to spend my whole life with you. Want to make love with you every day, and I want to grow old holding hand in hand with you. Whatever has to happen, happens after this." His words brought a pang to my heart so I pulled away from him and palmed his face and stared into his eyes with a heavy heart.

"I'm sorry, I can never give you the happiness of being a father." A lone tear makes its way down my cheek and falls down. My hands fell to my sides as I looked down while feeling sad.

I felt Charles's hand cupping my face and he made me look at him. "Look at me." And I did.

"It wasn't your fault that we lost our baby. It's our fate. Everything was destined to happen. And we can't change our fate. If those rogues had not abducted you that day, our children would have been playing in our lap today." More tears fall down from my eyes when a wave of flashbacks crosses my mind.

I remembered how the rogue Alpha abducted me and torture me and treated me as their sex slave and made my life a living hell. They raped me in groups. If it wasn't Charles who reached on time and rescued me from the rogues then It was not possible for me to survive. My condition was so critical that unfortunately, I lost my seven weeks child in my womb.

"I have only one wish that I want to die seeing your face in your arms." My heart clenched tightly and two fat tears rolled down my cheeks when I heard his words. I looked at him angrily and smacked on his chest.

"Mind your words, Charles. Don't say such jinx words. Your enemies should die." I yelled, offendedly while making a cute pout. I saw his eyes darken and he smashed his lips with mine holding the back of my head. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him passionately.

Two Days Later……

I was standing near the window holding the window ledge while staring up at the Red Moon that was shining brightly in the starry sky. It was a beautiful view that will make your heart delightful. I was enjoying the view when suddenly I heard a commotion coming from outside. I got alert and moved to the door but before I could reach the door the door of my room collapsed on the floor making me jump with fear. Panic bloomed in my chest making my heart almost stop beating as I saw a group of assassins standing before me. My eyes fell on the dead bodies of my guards lying on the floor near the door.

Fear squeezed the air out of my lungs and my body froze out of stock and dread. Before I could take any action a bullet pierced through my right arm making me gasp in pain. I tried to shift but for some odd reason, I wasn't able to. As I stared back at them they were about to attack me so finding no other way I decided to escape through the window.

I jumped out of the window and landed swiftly on the ground. I again tried to shift into my wolf but I wasn't able to transform. So I ran for my dear life as fast as I could.

I stumbled on the ground, keeping my balance as I ran for my life. I could barely feel my feet since I'd been running for a while in the woods. My leg was bleeding as one of the assassins had shot me in my leg.

My heart started throbbing three times faster against my ribcage. And I felt short of breath. I needed to halt and take a deep breath. But I knew if I stop they will get me and kill me leaving no trace. I could not understand how the assassin broke into our territory when I had appointed my best warriors for patrolling. But the main point is why they were after me. Who hired them to kill me? There were too many questions bugging in my head but the answer was nowhere.

Something sharp Pierced the arch of my foot making me yelp in pain. But still, I didn't stop running. I could feel the wetness beneath my foot. And it was hurting as hell as I was barefooted. Ignoring my pain I kept running but suddenly I tripped over a branch and fell to the ground hard, hurting my elbow as well. Before I could get up they circled me.

Crap!

I was trapped. They surrounded me, pointing their guns at me. I leaped to my feet and stood bravely before him. Because no matter how vulnerable I felt at that moment I couldn't die like a coward. I was the Alpha of the Shadow Moon Pack. An Alpha will fight till their last breath. Though I was hurt I positioned myself to fight with them.

But before we could start fighting with the assassins I heard a loud scream coming from behind. When I turned around I found two bodies lying on the ground lifelessly. My eyes welled up with tears when I spotted someone standing beside them.

"Jenny." My lips quivered and I ran to hug her. My best friend was there to save me. My Gamma.

I was so happy to see her. I thought I would die without seeing anyone. But my best friend was there for me as always. I was feeling so happy, suddenly a loud gasp left my mouth as I felt an excruciating pain between my spinal cord, something sharp piercing my flesh. A shrieking scream left my mouth in pain when I felt the blade was being pulled out with force.

Jenny pulled away from me and gave me a malicious smile. I stumbled back not being able to bear the physical and emotional pain. My heart was wrenching with unbearable pain as I stared back at her.

"Why, Jenny?" A sob rose in my throat as I asked her but she just smirked viciously.
