"Please, don't leave me."
Alan laid on the floor, the palish blue hospital robe clinging to his slender frame. He lifted his head, revealing his delicate features and reddened eyes stained with tears, "Don't leave me, i beg of you, please." He sobbed deeply, his hands desperately clinging to a pair of fair, slender legs. Feeling unwilling to actually let go of the person, he held on, his grip tightening around the tender, smooth flesh - like as though it were his last saving grace. "Alan- Let go of me!!", a shrill, feminine voice grunted in displeasure. She scrunched her nose, feeling repulsed by Alan's constant refusal to come to terms with his truth - his new reality. The fact that he had fallen from his high place of fame and fortune, now desolate, impoverished and also not fit for the eyes. "Please, Abigail.... You can't leave me like this. You're everything I've got left". Alan's voice cracked up, his tone filled with shameless pleading - he was scared......scared of the possibility that she would leave him if he let go right now. Afraid that she would disappear the moment she turned her back on him..... " Let go, goddammit!!", the displeased Abigail swung her leg, giving Alan a swift kick to the gut. The tip of her expensive heels coming in contact with Alan's abdomen as he rolled over, curling up in pain....a sharp groan escaped Alan's lips, cold sweat pouring down his face as he tried to contain his agony. "Do you even know what you look like right now?. Huh!!", anger simmered in her grey eyes, her shrill, highly pitched voice ringing in the quiet ward. She lowered her eyes, casting a disdainful look at Alan's curled up body as he laid on the cold white tiled floors; there was nothing she hated more, than a man who had been plunged down into the depths of failure. Doomed to be a nobody in society, having to scrape by each day by scavenging for thrash, she has never wanted to be associated with the likes of them. Alan, ignoring the pain tearing through his abdomen, crawled on all fours. Tears brewing hot in his eyes as he tried moving his partially limped body towards the blonde haired lady. "Abigail.... You promised to love me. You said we were meant to be together and forever at that." Abigail lips twitched in annoyance, unable to comprehend why this man seemed to fail in understanding her simple sentiments. It seemed that this man fancied provoking her on whim and at this point there were no other beneficial explanations for this. Abigail smirked coldly, a condescending glint flashing through her eyes as she arched her perfectly shaved brows with a calculative look. Quietly dipping her hands into her limited edition spring summer Hermes bag, slipping out a small foldable mirror she often used in touching up her makeup. She walked up close, elegantly crossing her long legs as she squatted, holding the mirror before Simone's bandaged face. "Have you seen what you look like now?." She paused, waving the small, bronze mirror around, wanting to be certain that Alan had truly seen his pathetic situation clearly. "Have you?". She spoke in a mockingly calm tone, a chilling smile tugging at the ends of her rouge stained lips, the gloss sparkling under the light. Alan shook his head in disbelief.....not wanting to believe that the reflection that he was staring at was his. Where had his charming self gone......How, just how could this person possibly be him. He raised his head, long strands of coffee brown hair falling down his tear stricken eyes. He dared not look directly at Abigail's face......he knew he couldn't possibly look at her, not in this state he was in. "What's it popstar...... Why don't you want to look at your reflection?. Or is it that you can't stand the ugly sight before you?" Abigail sarcastic words were like a cold bucket of water on a snowy morning, pouring over Alan's frame, washing away his delusions and leaving him shivering with sudden realization. He gripped his hospital clothes, his nails digging into his thighs. "N..no!!. No, this isn't real". He knelt, his hands feeling his face, tracing the tightly wrapped gauze. "This can't be happening, this has got to be a nightmare....yes, it's a nightmare - an absolute nightmare!!" Abigail smacked her lips, her eyes glinting coldly as she watched the confused and panicking Alan. "Is it now?." "B-B-B-But. I....i could still -" Alan's eyes darted around frantically, his lips trembling as he tried making coherent speeches. Abigail laughed, her fingers now twirling with the tip of her permed blonde hair. "You could still..what?!. Do you think that you can still make use of your voice....or do you think that you'll ever be able to make it on stage with that disfigured face of yours?" Alan knelt, his back hunched over, his spirit heavily crumbled. He fought back the thousand voices in his head, each one two times as venemous as the last. Each one mocked him, called him useless... discarded, he held his head, the ache becoming unbearable. She sighed, resignation evident on her polished face. " I'm afraid, that's all your wishful thinking. But it doesn't hurt to dream, does it?", she smirked disdainfully, standing up to leave. " Alan, it's over between us. And i hope that we never cross paths again..... also, it was fun while it lasted." She pulled the door knob, glancing at Alan's defeated frame with a weary look. " A friendly reminder; i suggest that you snap out of those empty delusions of yours and boldly accept your new fate.....as a dirt bag, rejected by society. It's rather in your best interests if you did so!!". Alan stared at the slammed door, watching his world spinning until everything became dark and mute. Here was his eternal abyss, with no escape doors, no windows and no one to guide him towards the light. He remained still for god knows how long, his knees still pressed against the cold tiles and the scent of antiseptic hanging in the air.The air stilled, everyone's eyes shifting from Alan to Amelia on instinct. Ignoring the awkward stares, Amelia leaned, her back straightening with a cold, noble aura. She stared at Alan, her brown eyes as calm as a still lake, "Brother, i can understand your plight. Leave it to me, i'll be sure to offer you a suitable explanation". She flashed a thin, polite smile, the corners of her lips barely lifting. Slowly, she parted her lips, her voice flooding the board room with a firm, icy tone. "Have someone send for Mr Liu immediately!" Lady Gu's grip on Old Gu tightened, her anxious gaze settling on the still composed Amelia with a frown. What the hell was this child on about...?. They had come such a long way to let this slide south, she clenched her fists, her teeth tightly gritted in silence. There's absolutely no way she was letting whatever this was happen under her nose, absolutely no way! She turned to Alan, feigning a warm smile, "Oh Alan, you've come here with such proof. But
"Old Gu, do you think he'll come?" Silence reigned, with only the sounds of Old Gu's cane tapping against the floor with a slow, impatient rhythm. He tilted his greying head, his silver rimmed glasses balancing perfectly on his sour face. Lifting his left hand, he stared at the expensive, leather- strapped watch bound to his wrists; his aged features tightening with a sharp scowl. Lady Gu sat beside him, wearing exquisite makeup with her long, manicured fingers wrapped around Old Gu's arms. She sighed faintly, staring at her husband with silent resignation, "Old Gu, we've been waiting for a long while now"."Yet there's been no sight of him, we might as well just end things here and have the police deal with him themselves", she spoke sweetly, her tone soft enough to touch. Averting her gaze, she signaled to Amelia - holding up a small, silk handkerchief to her red matte lips and feigning a small, exhausted yawn."Father, Mother is right", Amelia's clear voice echoed, calm and auth
A soft knock echoed against the thick doors, and Alan sitting by the vanity raised his head. His thin brows furrowing as he reached out, instinctively flipping over the bulletin board he'd spent hours scribbling on. Damn it, such a huge mansion and yet he barely ever got enough time to himself. He heaved, sweeping the desk full of scrap papers into an empty cabinet. Then he sighed, flicking away a stray strand of hair off his face. Turning towards the door, he spoke calmly, his tone mildly relaxed, "Come in". The door opened, and Zeke paced through the gaps with calm rhythm. He had his hands folded behind him, his silvery grey eyes settling on Alan at first glance. "And what are you doing?". Alan stood awkwardly, shielding the board with his frame. "Mr Ezekiel...", he flashed a grin, trying not to sound awkward. "What a pleasant surprise seeing you here, if i may ask, what calls for this impromptu visit?". Zeke said nothing, his gaze now fixated on the board. He perked a
Alan slammed the door to his room, hands shaky and covered in sweat. His chest heaved, leaning on his knees as he struggled to catch his breath. [Host, have you gone crazy?!]Alan turned, ignoring Xena's shrills. His hands running through his now messy bangs, rustling them up even more. He said nothing, quietly dragging his feet towards the bed before collapsing on the soft mattress. [Such good offer, and you turned it down off the bat. You even dared to hit him, aren't you scared for your life?]He buried his face in the pillows, the faint, sweet scent of rose wash filling his nostrils. He squeezed tight, staying like that for a full minute - trying to process what just happened. Then he rolled over, calmly collecting his thoughts as he sat up. A good offer....?, he stared at the blue screen only he could see with a low scowl. "What's good about being another man's boy toy, huh?. Tell me, what's so good about it?!", Alan scoffed, tossing one of the pillows to the ground with a th
"Go ahead, i'm listening", Zeke stared at Alan, his molten silver eyes glistening with interest. "We made a deal, and you promised to help me bring down the Gu corporation", Alan paused, his calm voice never faltering. It was almost as if he were discussing a mere business transaction and not the demise of his family's business. Zeke smirked, the corners of his lips twitching with pure, unfiltered intrigue. He tilted his head to the side, sizing up Alan with his deep set eyes. "Yeah, i remembered making that promise. But -". Alan sucked in a sharp breath, his heart racing wildly. In a corner where Zeke couldn't see, Alan dug his fingers deep into his palms - desperately trying to soothe his panicking nerves.But.... but what?!. Alan's thin brows furrowed deeply, his expression pale as if fearing the worst. Was he trying to back out now, at a critical time like this?!. What could he do, this man had basically been his last bet on actually completing his mission. How was he supposed
Alan perched by the window, the cool breeze carrying a faint scent of fresh pine leaves and cherry blossoms. He exhaled, his elbow resting against the window pane, chin buried in his right palm. It's been three days since he fully recuperated, staying locked within these grand walls while enduring the silence. It wasn't exactly him being confined, it's just that he wasn't given the liberty to move around of his own free will. Everywhere he went, he was being trailed by bulky bodyguards with frightfully scarred faces. They barely ever smiled, each wearing dreadfully stern expressions while looking at him like he was some pitifully, trapped prey that they weren't allowed to touch. And the maids around here were no different, sure they served his meals and provided him change of clothes, but they also avoided every form of contact. And when they were done....they often scurried away as if running from a plague. Alan shut his eyes, quietly enjoying the refreshingly calm breeze. Whatev
"Cheers!!!" Hot steam rose beneath the bright lights, accompanied by the sound of wine - filled glasses clinking together and cutleries against porcelain plates. Alan sat far off, his almond eyes lingering on his rather drunken employees who were still lost in their merriment with a rather ind
Wow!. How...... aesthetic. Alan placed the stack of files on the medium-sized desk. Stretching his arms out, he felt the smooth walls coldly pressed against his fingertips. He lowered his arms, staring at the small, poorly furnished space with an amused look. He let out a small laugh - all of
The cool breeze blew gently, softly tugging at Alan's clothes. He raised his arm, shielding his eyes from the bright sun rays - The Gu family manor certainly had a great, natural aesthetic. The scent of lush green trees and the soothing melody of birds chirping, he bit his lower lip - It's too ba
" You ungrateful little twerp!!" Alan settled his calm eyes on the aged man sitting on one of the luxurious sofas, accompanied by two women. He blinked silently in confusion, his head tilting slightly to the side. "After all i've done raising you..... You still dared to commit such a crime, em
