The future leader was born

The beast comes out during the full moon. Its bright, full-sized moonlight gives significant power to underworld creatures. Tonight was the most awaited time for the couple, Nadia, and Randolph. They are expecting their first child. They are both quite afraid, but their love makes them stronger to face what is bound to happen. They couldn't ask for any help from outsiders or even their family members. They abandoned them when they chose each other. They used to live in two separate worlds. Nadia, who was born to live a normal life, decided to elope with Randolph, a werewolf. He was the son of the most powerful pack leader and was supposed to follow in his father's supremacy and power. Their love is against their race and the whole community. They live in disguise, using different names, and they must cover themselves so as not to be noticed. Their peaceful village is located near the passage of Shipka. It is the place where humans and werewolves are battling for their continued existence. The rivers and streams are painted red after the full moon. Body parts are scattered everywhere, polluting the land, water, and air. The community was ruled by village leaders while the enemies were with their pack leaders. Werewolves live in the mountainous part of the village. Their race is in competition with humans, but they make them their prey for consumption. While humans treated them as a threat to their lives. The villagers are in unity to safeguard each other. They learned the rumor of the birth of the new being, and they are on the lookout for it. People are taking the birth of the wolf-man seriously because it will bring more harm to their village. Based on the prophecy, the wolf-man is more dangerous because he is the mixed blood of a human and a wolf. They are stronger, wiser, and more capable of their own selves. He isn't afraid of anyone and can wipe out the whole tribe. There is no theory about how he can be killed or defeated. People have become more vigilant about newborns and pregnant women. They will show no mercy in killing the most wanted creature.

Randolph to his wife. "Are you sure we can make it?" he asked, in doubt because they had no idea what might occur during her labor.

She looked terribly hurt, and he couldn't bear to watch her in pain. But he has to stay beside her. The rain was too heavy, the thunder was deafening from outside, and the flash of lightning zipped across the dark sky.

"Yes, I can do this! Just don't leave me alone," she requested.

Nadia looked tired, and he pitied his wife.

"I can ask for someone to help," he offered.

"No! He is on his way out," she uttered as she closed her eyes.

She was gathering all her strength. Nobody could help her but herself. She doesn't want anybody to know that she did not leave the village. Everybody in the village knew each other and she was quite popular because of her leaving her family behind for the love of her life. She was afraid that someone would attack them whenever they learned about her. It has been rumored that her husband was a werewolf. He was a shapeshifter during the full moon, but he never harmed anyone. He has found another way to survive without the need to kill. She pushed harder to let the baby come out of her opening. She could hardly breathe as she was doing her best. She wanted to end her pain and was excited about babysitting. Randolph held her hand for support and to share some of his strength with her.

"Oh God!" she blurted out.

In a matter of a few seconds, they heard the crying baby. Without having second thoughts, Randolph immediately took the baby to clean him up and cover him with his clothes. Nadia was overwhelmed by the experience and her tears kept on falling down her cheeks.

"Love, what's wrong?" Randolph checked on his wife, who was feeling sick after giving birth.

He taps her forehead and sniffs to assess his wife's condition. She was really in a bad state. Her eyes were rolling, and she was losing some air. He doesn't know what to do. He felt something was going to happen. However, he can sense his body is getting ready for his transformation. He wished he could stop it. He must leave now, otherwise, he will cause more harm to his wife and the villagers. He couldn't go out of the house due to the rain showers. Werewolves are afraid of water. The heavy rain stopped as soon as the baby stopped crying. However, the lightning has become more electrifying and the rumbling thunder, a distinctive event from nature, was symbolic. The transformed wolves are celebrating and praising, for they know that the future Alpha was born. Howling and growling have become more obvious, and it surrounds the village. The residents are all awake, waiting and preparing for their attacks. The war for their lives between their kinds is never-ending.

"I am sorry!" he said and turned his back and took the baby.

He intentionally attracted the attention of somebody as he got out of the house. He needed to escape, but he wanted to make sure that someone was going to help his wife. He hid in the bush a few meters from the house.

"Look! Someone has given birth. Please help!" the woman called out.

The village leader arrives to see what's going on. They had seen the woman lying with blood.

He heard him ask, "Where is the baby?"

"We have seen a werewolf come out of here!" the woman responds.

They thoroughly checked the woman's body before a healer arrived, but Nadia was gone. Some men gathered around while looking out for any strange movements. Randolph left the place. He consumed live animals that he encountered in the wild. He must get some fresh blood and meat during the full moon to pacify his cravings and his rage. He felt the heat of the sun touch his skin. He was back to his old look. He was a normal human being. He opened his eyes, and the loud cry of the baby brought his senses back. He glanced at the baby, and he was too innocent. The supposed happiest moment of his life had turned into an unpleasant event. He had lost his purpose and wanted to blame the child. If it were not for him, his wife would have been alive. He witnessed her last breath. She was staring at them with her teary eyes. He looked around, and it was an ordinary day after the full moon to see lying dead bodies. Not too far from his location, he saw a man lying lifeless. He took his clothes off and put them on. He must cover his bareness. He remembered his wife, and it was too painful for him to accept the fact that she was dead. That wasn't easy.

"Why is this happening?" he inquired.

He was confused and was trying to think of the best way. The baby was still crying, and he assumed that he was hungry. He wanted the child to live a normal life. He can't be with him and witness the kind of life that he has. He had nothing to offer his kid. He thought of doing what was best for his child, and just like Nadia, he wouldn't want the baby to join the pack.

"I apologize! But we couldn't be together," he uttered as he watched his child.

He looked for a place where he could leave the baby behind. He must make sure that someone who will take his child is capable of raising him into a better person. Everybody knew about the prophecy, but nobody knew that this child bore it. Only time will tell when it is the perfect opportunity to reveal it. He saw the group of people coming and he left the baby on the ground just below the tall tree. He hid from afar to make sure that somebody was going to take him.

"Oh! What a sweet little baby!" the woman exclaimed.

She held the baby in her arms, and Randolph could see her emotions. He knew that his son was in good hands. He will continue to look after him from afar and protect him if necessary.

"Someday you will know why," he uttered.

He followed where the woman lived. She proudly presented the baby to her siblings. They were thinking that the baby was just another victim of a werewolf attack from last night. There is no sign that he could cause them any harm. Randolph tried to look for Nadia's body. He could socialize with the villagers because he looked like them, and nobody could easily determine that he had werewolf blood. His senses as a werewolf are active even if he hasn't transformed, and he can move faster than humans. It helped him a lot because he could track the good from bad people and even his fellow werewolves.
