Chapter 35.

I waited patiently at the gates as grams and Wayne spoke to each other in hushed whispers. We had decided to stay the night at his pack, but I had woken up early this morning eager to get back to camp and find out if anything had happened whilst we were gone.

“I’ll see you real soon”. Grams smiled at him as they both finally walked over to join me.

“You take care, Estelle”. He replied before turning his focus onto me. “Raven, it was such an honour to meet you”. He said as he held out his hand for me to shake.

“It was nice to meet you two, and thanks again for the book”. I replied politely.

“You know, I’ve been thinking a lot about what you said yesterday..”.

“Oh?”.

“Yes, and I’ve decided that I would like to offer more help, so, I will be sending one hundred of my men to your camp in four days. I would send them sooner, but I want to gather enough provisions to last the duration of their stay with you”. He informed me, and I couldn’t stop the smile that rose on my face. “Howeve
