28. New Pack

“How are you and our pup feeling?” Ryder questions, sitting and rubbing Aiden’s back as he feeds.

“Good, just tired from the drive. I’m going to nurse him once he’s finished drinking blood, then put him to bed. I’ll have Valery stay inside with him and go help where I can to get people set up,” I answer, sitting on the very soft bed and pull myself into the pillows against the headboard.

“Please be careful, we’re changing a lot at once, and some of these people are not happy to be losing their free labor,” Ryder insists, looking down at Aiden when he pulls away.

“Was that good?” Ryder chuckles, wiping Aiden’s little bloody lips clean when he smiles.

“He does love feeding on his Daddy. I will be careful I promise, I plan to have Kitty stay by my side so she can introduce me to the people who need the most help, and so I can learn who the most influential people on both sides are,” I explain, reaching out for Aiden knowing he will start fussing for milk.

“Having Kitty with you works for
