3. Family Fun

“You’ve looked better,” I tease Thane, as I walk into the kitchen seeing him looking pretty worse for wear, He’s standing shirtless with a large scar on his side.

“It’s healing. Look who’s talking, I haven’t been out for days… unlike someone,” Thane teases back with a pointed look, making me laugh a little. I’m glad to have another friend mine and Liliana’s age.

“Thank you for making sure Liliana stayed safe.” I thank him, noticing the bruising on his chest and flank.

“It was a good call getting her out, we had half a dozen of them trying to follow us, and we handled it.” Thane compliments, watching as Osric walks over to greet his mother, as Embry starts to make coffee.

“Thane earned his title last night, Thane killed four of the bastards keeping them away from Liliana. Damn near killed himself doing it,” Angel speaks from the round arch way to the dining room, making me look over to see my dad with Nikki, Kitty, Liliana, and Ryder.

“It sounds like you really did, thank you Thane.” I softly speak, enveloping him in a hug, relieved to have him to protect my family.

“You’re welcome, Raven, you’re not just my Alpha you’re also family and Liliana is my brother’s mate, I’d never let harm come to her or your family. You would be proud of our new Delta Kitty; she met us halfway and helped keep Liliana from being taken when we were distracted.” Thane mentions, while rubbing my back and nods his head.

“I’m glad Ryder has such a good friend. Michelle is very lucky; she needs someone like you after the damage Laura did. It sounds like we’re lucky Kitty found her way to us,” I admit, walking closer to Osric who is standing at the dark wooden island, that is freshly cleaned, with his coffee in hand.

“Ryder and I have grown up like brothers starting all kinds of trouble. Michelle has been talking to me about it a lot, I’m amazed she’s not worse. Yes, we are lucky to have Kitty, she’s quite the warrior and learns fast.” Thane agrees, glancing at Kitty with Nikki then smiles at me cuddling up to Osric craving his warmth.

“Good, keep doing what you’re doing, and have Kitty start training all the women, especially the ones in the shelter. Michelle and Valery are helping Siggi start training too.” I smile gently, making him nod in response as he stares into the dining room waiting for Helena and Eya to finish cooking an American breakfast biscuits and gravy with hash browns, sausages, and eggs.

“How are you feeling?” Eya questions me, rushing over, placing her hands on each side of my belly making me giggle at her excitement.

“Sore and exhausted, but strong, the twins are moving like they should be,” I answer, holding the top of my stomach watching her feel for my babies’ movements.

“Eya you’re too much, you know she might not be comfortable with you grabbing her.” Embry laughs at her eagerness, while brushing his hair back, shaking his head like he is lost for words.

“It’s ok, I get it she’s excited; I can’t wait to get to know Eya and Mum better.,” I smile, winking at Helena seeing her blush, nodding at me in approval as I feel Osric’s arms tighten around me.

“I am excited to be having a sister and brother, and it’ll be nice to have another woman around to keep these two in line,” She giggles, gesturing to Osric and Embry with her hand that is no longer on my belly, “which you are clearly more than capable of.”   Returning her hand so she can continue to feel my babies’ kicks.

“You’re right they’re both kicking strong.” Eya adds with a gentle smile, before turning to steal Embry’s coffee, which makes him growl playfully at her, before turning around and making another.

“How long are we staying here?” I question, following Osric as he pulls me towards the dining table as breakfast is almost done.

“How long do you want to stay? Ryder, Liliana, Gideon, Thane, Angel, and Nikki need to head back tonight or tomorrow but I don’t see why you and Embry can’t stay for a little while.” Osric answers hopefully, making everyone look at him like he is acting like a completely different person.

“I need to rest for a while, maybe a week or two?” I suggest while biting my lip nervously making him chuckle a me.

“Sounds good to me, we can use the break.” Embry admits, coming over to hug Osric and me.

“That we could, come on let’s sit.” Osric ushers, pulling me with him while carrying his coffee, as Embry grabs a second mug following us.

“Coco?” I question, sitting at the head of the table after Osric pulls the chair out for me.

“Yep, I know you like coco and juice with breakfast, especially now.” Embry answers, sitting on my left side with Osric sitting across from him.

“Cinnamon?” I question, making Liliana and Dad laugh as I’ve always liked cinnamon in my coco and crave it now that I’m pregnant.

“I wouldn’t dare forget,” Embry teases me, watching Thane and Ryder help the cooks bring food to the table.

“Better not,” I threaten, grabbing a spoon waving it at him giggling, then use it to dive into the fluffy whipped cream, while Osric makes my plate.

“Never!” He feigns being hurt, while putting his hand on his heart as he chuckles with a wink, making me blush making Thane, Ryder, and Liliana laugh at his playfulness.

“Screw you, you’re the same with Ryder,” I growl at Liliana, making her laugh harder, while my cheeks turning red.

I just shake my head then giggling, as Nikki lovingly pulls Kitty into his lap, running his fingers through her red hair.

Kitty giggles, wrapping her arms around his neck, attacking him with playful kisses and nips on his lips.

“I am, and apparently so is Kitty. It’s just really cute watching two Alphas, with the most lethal reputations, being so caring and sweet to the most dangerous Alpha. Don’t think I didn’t feel you or hear about what happened at that meeting, and how scared they both were.” Liliana smiles at me shrugging her shoulders. I feel Osric and Embry both through the bond, become slightly bashful at her statement.

“She’s right it’s very sweet watching you with them, no one thought Alpha King Osric could be tamed let alone by a woman.” Kitty adds from her seat making my blush deepen.

“They’re not terrifying, Osric is just my Beasty and Embry is my Knight,” I laugh, shaking my head watching my gorgeous mates.

 Both look intimidating, but are well natured, careful to only use their dangerous natures when absolutely necessary.

“Your mates are terrifying; you should hear how the other Alphas speak of them. Alpha Lucas is afraid of Alpha King Osric.” Kitty corrects, making me blush, not knowing the true extent of the reputation they really had. It makes me realize how sheltered Liliana and I have been.

“Kitty is right, you haven’t seen Osric lose it, nor have you seen him fight as a Lycan.” Angel chuckles, with slight disapproval in his tone getting Osric’s attention, earning him a menacing growl.

“And you haven’t seen Raven, you’ve only heard of the after math. If she can control that many vampires at once, do you really think she couldn’t control me if she wants to? Do not underestimate my mate.” Osric scolds his brother. Making Helena slap both boys upside the head, as she walks behind them to sit between them, as Eya sits herself next to Embry.
