Opposites 2

There are also some people who were heedless enough to disobey the law so they were punished. No one really knows what the consequences are. Punished people would not say it to anyone. All I know is that you will suffer severe penalties if you don't follow.

I didn't notice that I was already mumbling to myself when Nana tapped my hand. With a raised brow, I turned to look at Nana who was sitting not so far away from me. "Huh? What is it, Nana?"

"Kira? Are you alright?" Nana asked me worriedly. Ate July was also staring at me and at the government notice that I was holding tightly in my hands. I know that she knows about the notice right from the start so she already knew what my problem is. Instead of answering my Nana, I stayed silent in my seat and sighed.

Ate July sat beside me and patted my back as she cheered me on, "Dearie, it's a big challenge for the both of you! Like Andy Warhol would say, 'The most exciting attractions are between two opposites that never meet.' So, just trust yourself! I know you can do it! And also, I know that you are very dedicated in reaching for your dreams but this, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Don't worry, I and grandma will always be here if ever you need help." She smiled sweetly at me.

"And besides, my little brother is a nice and a very sweet person if you get to know him more. Just be yourself and it will work out. Trust me." She reassured me.

"Thank you Ate, that is a very nice thing to say. Don't worry, I'll try and give everything as best as I can."

I guess she is right. I guess they are all right. I just have to be the laid-back lady like I was and everything would be alright.

I stood up from my seat and was to get back to my room and sleep, placing the papers back to the folder and left it on the table. "July, iha. Weren't you going to say something to Kira?" Nana asked as Ate July widened her eyes.

"Ah, that's right! I forgot to tell you. It's about tomorrow." I only stared at her and waited for her to finish her sentence. She coughed and sat properly, grinning widely at me.

"We will be going somewhere the next day! Just the two of us. You know, girl stuff." She excitedly said.

"Ehh? I thought that our families would meet and get-to-know each other?" They told me that this is what would happen every first day of the three weeks.

"Nah. My father is very busy with something and li'l bro is off to some business trip and also, Lola here is too old to have long walks so, she wants the two of us to bond and have fun."

I looked at Nana and she just nods at me. I glanced back at Ate July and asked her, "Where will we go tomorrow?" Still feeling a bit nervous for tomorrow.

"It's a secret."

Going down the stairs, I wore my stripe knee-length sweater dress and Cuban heels. Tied my hair into a messy fishtail braid and applied some lipgloss as usual.

I went to the living room, a bit excited as I saw them there, sitting.

"You look gorgeous." Ate July said as she happily clapped her hands together.

"Thanks." I smiled shyly at her. To be honest, I'm not really used to wearing something like this when going out with someone else other than my Nana.

My Nana looked at me with a big smile on her face whereas Ate July grinned widely, looking lovely on her loose dress.

My gaze then stopped on a man who was sitting casually beside her. He is a tall man with blonde hair and dark blue eyes. He has olive skin and a strong, healthy built.

I went closer to them as I looked at Ate July with a 'who is he' look on my face. She then tapped the hand of the man, telling him to introduce himself. The man stood up and bowed at me slightly.

"It is very nice to meet you, Kira Castelle. I am Truce Lovino, July's beloved husband." He smiled sweetly while looking at Ate July as she looked away in embarrassment, her whole face blushing.

"It is also nice to meet you, Kuya." I smiled at him. So it's him. The only man who could make her cheeks blush in crimson just by smiling. The man that Ate July would gladly love over and over again. Just wow, they're amazing to look at. I could clearly see in their eyes that they really love each other.

"You know what, the two of you are very lovely to look at," I spoke out my mind.

"Hear that, Love?" Kuya Truce smirked at Ate July whose face is now as red as a tomato. She stood up, rolling her eyes at Kuya, and ignored him.

"Grandma, it's time for us to go." Ate July said while giving Kuya Truce an irritated look. He ignored the look and poked her cheek.

"Of course, iha. Take care." Grandma said while laughing. Ate July hastily left the house while her husband followed her, whispering out some sweet words to her.

I, then, kissed grandma's cheek and bid goodbye. "Enjoy your day, Kira."

"Yes, nana." I waved my hand at her and followed the couple outside.

I leaned on the side window of the SUV car, glancing up at the clouds. It was tinted deep-blue as it hovers over the sun, covering it completely.

I glanced at the two lovers on the front, teasing each other. Guess they're on good terms now. That was quick. I stared at them for a while now when I remembered something.

"Ate. Didn't you tell me that it will only be the two of us? Will Kuya Truce come with us too?" I asked as I thought about the things that she told me yesterday.
