Eira’s POVI looked at her totally unprepared for the guessing game. “How about you just tell me?” I really can't guess anything, ” I mumbled, since I couldn't come up with anything that could make her so excited.“I can't say it. What's the fun in that.” she let out, pouting her mouth. “Oh wait- Amber, you guys should go and make some refreshments for Eira, I'm sure she hasn't eaten yet.” Selene told her maidsI knew that it was just an excuse but I was still surprised at how she figured out that I haven't eaten yet.“How do you know that I haven’t eaten?”I asked her immediately after Amber and Bianca left and she chuckled.“Because you love the meat Amber makes of course,” she answered and I nodded. Well, she was right about that.“Should I just ask Amber to teach Thana the recipe? It will be hard on Amber to make food for me everyday, don’t you think?” I said to Selene and she just waved it off.“I don’t think so, she loves cooking so much,” she answered and I decided to let it g
Eira’s POV“Why?” the vampire King and I asked simultaneously while Selene looked like she was planning on how to make her brother refuse.“My sister's death anniversary is near and I have to go and go back for a while,” Dolphus answered.“Isabella’s death anniversary is near? I didn't know,” I let out, squeezing his hand in sympathy.“Yea, that's why I have to go.” “I’m tired, I think we should go back to the courtyard, ” I muttered after a while and the vampire King nodded.“Selene, I'm leaving,” I said again when I saw that her attention wasn't there.“Uh? Oh alright. See you tomorrow, ” Selene replied, after a few minutes like I interrupted her thoughts. When we got to the courtyard, I couldn’t help but feel like Dolphus hadn’t said everything at the picnic. Why? Because from the rose garden till they got to the courtyard, they didn’t exchange a word.“Dolphus, is there something wrong?” Eira asked and Dolphus nodded.“I have to go back to Deepwater for a while,” he replied and
Eira’s POVI looked at him, bewildered by his question.“Why will I be worried, if you really like her? I will support you,” Dolphus scoffed, looking away from me. “Why are you scoffing? Did I say something wrong?” I asked him and he shook his head.“No, I’m going to bed. The day was stressful,” he replied and walked to his room. Leaving me standing in the sitting room. What’s with that attitude? Did I say something wrong? He didn’t even say what he always goes out to do. What will I tell Selene tomorrow? Well, at least, I know that it wasn’t a girl he’s always going out to see. So I can tell that to Selene. After a while, I left for bed since there wasn’t anything to do. Thinking about the picnic tomorrow, I didn't know when sleep engulfed me.I didn't wake up till I heard the cockerels' loud crows squeaking in my ears. Dragging myself up the bed, I went to freshen myself up and later went to check on Dolphus but as usual, he had already gone out.“I’m going to the Princess’s Pal
Eira’s POV“Eira..” She looked at me with an aggrieved expression. Like she was heartbroken because she thought I should already know about it.“You need to let me know your feelings, I can’t see your heart.”Fortunately, Selene thought the same and she nodded after a while. “ Yes, I like him. But I don’t know if he will like me too,”I didn’t dare tell her that she wasn’t the only one that likes Dolphus and he had harshly rejected the other girl without even giving her a chance. But I still had to let her know that it might be a one-sided crush. “Selene, Dolphus isn’t really here for romance. He came here to find the treatment for his best friend, he might not entertain any romantic relationship ” I told her as gently as I can.Selene looked away and frowned. “I know. I’m telling you since you said you can’t see my heart. Besides, I'll make him interested in me,” she vowed.I smile at her, happy that she didn’t underestimate herself because of her sightlessness. “Good girl, go for
Eira’s POV“Dolphus, I can't believe you greeted that demon that way!” I countered, immediately after the vampire King was out of hearing.“What should I have said? His Majesty? I’m the Grand Gamma of the whole werewolf Packs. If you as a healer can’t call him that, do you think I should?” He tossed at me and I nodded. He was actually right. No matter what, we should be loyal to our King and not another King.“Are you feeling good? Do you feel pain anywhere?” I asked him and he shook his head.“No, I think they are healing up,” “It’s the medicine that Esme fed you yesterday when you were having a fever,” I told him and he just nodded at me. “You didn’t act strange to her, right?” I asked, raising my eyes at him suspiciously.“I went to bed immediately you left,” he replied as if telling me that I was thinking much about it.“That’s good then. I will be going now,” I muttered, standing up from his bedside.“Is it painful?” He asked and I looked at him unaware of what he was talking
Eira’s POVThe first step of Selene's surgery took a while. Her orbs were too dusty and it was hard to find the main cause of the whole issue but because I had given her a sleep-inducing drug, I was able to take my time. The plant that the vampire King and I had to go pick at the mountain too also came in handy even though I had mixed it with others. It pushed out the Legendary snakes’ toxins, and I was able to see where the problem lies. After a few hours, I rested in the chair beside me, Totally exhausted. Even Esme was tired since she was my help and she was going about during the whole surgery. This was also her first surgical experience.“Are you okay?” I asked, but my voice came out breathlessly.“I’m fine, you are the one that did the whole work,” She answered, standing up.“Where are you going? I asked her because I can’t even stand at the moment.“To get you a cup of water,” She replied and I smiled at her. Awwn, it’s really nice to have a disciple.“Alright, just ask Amber
