CHAPTER LXXVIII: FIRE

It was merely a year ago…

It was midnight in a not so quiet neighborhood, as there were numerous people outside their houses. They have been awoken by the racket of a huge tragedy that's happening within their high-end suburban residential area.

The house that was burning was not in any way small or simple. It was actually one of the largest and most expensive residences within the whole Class A housing compound.

And unfortunately for the family living inside the house, only one of them had managed to escape the burning inferno unscathed. This is thanks to her not fully asleep yet when the thick black smoke engulfed the whole house.

"I found her Mateo! *cough, cough* Ma'am, come with me, hurry!"

"Wait, Lilian, where are my... *cough, cough*... Dad and Mom... *cough*"

"Mateo will find them, Miss Lyra! Please, let us get out...*cough*... now..."

"There's the door... *cough, cough* I can see the light!"

"Ladies... here, let me bring you out..."
