His eyes widened as he approached us. “Jess? It's really you? I thought I was hallucinating for a second…” he wrapped his arms around his body. “What are you doing here by this time?”

I turned to Jess. Colours had drained from her face. Why is she hiding the fact that we live together?

Then I cut in. “Why are you here, Liam?”

He looked at me and frowned. “I wasn't going to talk to you. Why did you change the house passcode? I nearly freezed to death.”

I let out a scoff. “You didn't tell me you were coming over. And besides, who goes visiting at this ungodly hour?”

“Let's go in.”

So, you've been designing since you were a kid?” Mr. Hall senior looked at me, his face brightened with a smile, impressed by my story.I nodded.“That's beautiful…” then he turned to Oliver. “You two have something in common.”Ollie rolled his eyes, reaching for the napkin to clean his mouth. “You are not about to brag about me again, are you?”He chuckled, turning to me. “You see, Oliver has been a smart kid since he was a toddler… he has always loved fashion.”I raised a brow, adjusting on the chair. “Really?”“Yes. He had many awards back in school. I will show you later. I have them stacked up in his old room.”I glanced at Oliver. He was just rolling his eyes, but I could tell he was proud of himself… who wouldn't be?“You must've really been proud of him.”“Of course… I've always been proud of him. He is my golden boy.” He laughed. We chatted through the meal, and once we were done, I stood to clear the table.“No, Jessica. Don't bother about

Chapter 71Jessica Hemsworth “It's just dinner with his grandpa. Do I have to wear this?” I muttered as I stood before my mirror, staring at my gorgeous self adorned in a purple fitted off-shoulder gown.Heat crept up my chest as I carefully tucked my hair away, showing my bare shoulders and a part of my chest.“This is too revealing. It might make him uncomfortable.” I muttered, arranging my hair to cover my chest, as if he wasn't the one who bought the dress for me.My cheeks heat up at the thought of that. I was a bit uncomfortable when he got me the dress just for this dinner. I mean, I have tons of dresses in my closet that I could've worn. It's beautiful though. With my heart pounding hard in my chest, my fingers tightened on my purple purse, and my steps faltering in the purple high heels, I walked down the walkway. I still made it even though Susanne tried to bring me down.He patted my shoulder gently, and I quickly pulled away as the realisation of what I just did hit me hard.“I'm sorry… I didn't mean to do that… I was… I was just excited.” I chuckled nervously, my eyes scanning everywhere but his face.He stayed silent, my eyes found his as I lifted my gaze. Chapter 68 Viktor Holt ‘Where are you?’ My eyes were glued to my phone, reading my last text to Jessica. It was still left unanswered. Was she not throwing tantrums? Was she serious about the divorce shit? I let out a scoff. For a second, I almost considered calling her… Almost. But I didn't. She will come crawling back to me soon, begging me to forgive her for making that silly mistake. “Yes, she will.” I muttered, letting out a sigh. “Hey, Viktor.” I lifted my gaze. Susanne stood before me. For a second, my eyes swept around her body. She had only a baggy shirt on. One that stopped just below her butt. Her hair fell freely down her shoulders. My brows knitted together when I recognised the shirt she was wearing. Wait! Isn't that the shirt Jess got for me on my last birthday? I shot to my feet, locking eyes with her. “Where'd you get that?” I wanted to believe that it was just identical to the cloth. I had kept the cloth for one year. Not even once did I
