Chapter 2 Dinner

Raj pov

‌ After talking to Simmi I thought of finalizing my deal with the broker, so I left my office. moreover, it was time to leave. I went straight to the broker's house. The door opened and the broker was standing there

" Good evening sir. Please come in"

"Good evening Aakash I was passing by so thought of dropping in and to know about the apartment we had selected. did you talk to the owner"

"Yes I did and they will let us know in a day or two"

" Ok but please make it fast as I want my family to come and stay with me, so now let me and finish the deal as soon as possible. I will take leave bye"

" Bye, sir." Aakash bids bye to Raj and starts thinking about how to persuade the owner and buy the apartment for Raj.

Raj pov

Sujata has proved herself as a great and efficient secretary not only is she beautiful but is smart also. A perfect combination of beauty and brains, whenever I see her I feel very happy. I think I have started liking her.

A knock in the door brought me back from my trance

"Come in." Raj looked expectedly towards the door

"Good afternoon sir". The sweet voice which he loves to hear came. Instead of replying Raj keeps on staring at her.

" Sir, sir! What happened? " Sujata spoke a little loudly.

"Nothing; do you need something?" Raj asked looking here and there is an attempt to avert his gaze.

" I forgot these are some files that require your signature sir." Sujata kept some files on his table.

"Keep them and I will sign." Raj gestured her to leave.

"Sir these are urgent so please sign them as I have to give them to the finance department," Sujata told him the urgency for bringing the files.

Raj after signing the files asks "Sujata are you free tonight? Can you come for dinner with me "

"m.......me sir I am your secretary and you are my boss" Sujata stuttered hearing his invitation.

" Only in this office after the office, I have a personal life" Raj gave her an encouraging smile.

"Ok, sir."

"Just text me your address I will pick you at 7:00 pm sharp."

"I will be ready" Sujata left his office picking up the files.

Raj gives the driver off and goes to pick Sujata. The location was not so good, the streets are very narrow and full of garbage. Raj is feeling very bad after seeing all this. Raj rang the bell of the apartment which was opened by Sujata.

"Good evening, are you ready? you are looking beautiful."Raj was awestruck y her beauty. She was dressed in a simple white top and jeans, wore minimally make-up, yet she was looking ravishing beautiful.

" Good evening sir thank you. You are not looking bad." She blushed. He wore a blue button-down shirt paired with black denim. Top buttons were open giving a view of his muscular chest. Sujata was unable to take her eyes from the delicious view in front of her.

"Please come." Raj broke the silence that prevailed. He kept his hand on the small of her back and guided her to the car.

Raj opened the door of the passenger side and made Sujata comfortable and then sat on the driver's seat. They drove to a fancy five-star restaurant. Raj went to reception and gave his name they were guided to a reserved table. After seating, they gave their order. Since Sujata doesn't eat non-vegetarian food so all vegetarian dishes were ordered.

In an attempt to start a conversation Raj asked her ."So who are all there in your family?"

" I'm all alone, my parents died in a car accident when I was in graduation." A painful expression crossed her face which she covered with a smile.

"Sorry to hear that." Raj felt bad for her loss.

‌"No need to be sorry sir you didn't know. " Sujata assured him that she was fine.

"Can we become friends I know you would say I'm your boss but I'm your boss in office only, after that, we can be friends?" Raj was adamant to make her fall for him.

" ok, sir I will try."

"Firstly drop sir I'm your sir only at the office ." Raj started telling her rules to follow

" Yes sir sorry Raj." Sujata smiled which reached her eyes. She was alone in the city and someone as breathtaking and influential as Raj was asking for her friendship.

Before he could ask anything else food was served, they started eating silently. After dinner, Raj dropped her.

" Here we are." Raj was reluctant to leave her.

"Thanks, Raj.Good night."She waved him.

"Good night." Raj left with a heavy heart.
