Catheryn’s POV

I arrived at the company all smiles. Though Jason offered to take me to work, I rejected it since he cooked all night for me. It made my heart flutter. I felt awkward when he said yesterday that he’s going to eat breakfast since he always eats out.

“But for him to make breakfast for me… It’s quite a shock,” I whispered with a smile.

“Oh! You’re all smiles, Ms. Catheryn!” My friends at work said when they stood beside me and hooked their arms to mine.

“You’re here already?”

“Yeah. And we saw you smiling and standing here. Did something good happen?” they asked. I felt my heart flutter again.

“Well, my husband prepared a feast for me today,” I said with a wide smile.

Then I noticed the smile on their faces froze, then they looked at each other. Then I suddenly remember that some of my former classmates from college are working in the company. They must have spread that… Jason was not really a good husband.
