President Thurnwald

Talisa watched how the scene unfold in front of her, how Isabella had smashed the flower pot on her head, resulting her being in immense pain, how she was loosing a lot of blood and slowly loosing consciousness.

 She woke up with a start, breathing heavily as her hand held unto her throbbing head. 

"It's fine, it's fine, it's fine. I'm alright" She chanted as she tried calming her raging heart.

She finally took a deep breath after her mind had finally settled, then she slowly got out of bed. It was about time she prepared for the day. 

She took a cold shower since she could feel her body still shaking from her dream, well it was a reality at some point. It seemed that scene will always hunt her no matter what and that's a reminder not to let the cheating couple go at all cost.

'Knock Knock' 

Talisa was making herself up when she heard the knock. Her gaze shifted to the door,  she guessed it must be Anna so she told her to come in. And she was right as the girl already poke out her head from behind the door. 

She seemed really happy this morning "Good morning Madam, I trust you had a lovely night" 

Talisa returned the favour "Sure and you?" 

"It's same for me too. I've prepared your breakfast, should I bring it here or you'll have it in the dining room?"  She asked because it seemed her Madam was avoiding the Master and might not want to eat with him. 

Talisa smiled as she already understood why Anna asked "Don't bother, I'll have it in the dining room" 

Anna bowed then left the room in order to carry out her other duties.  

 Talisa's outfit that day was formal as she was going to the company and personally witness the interview of the applicants who wants to work as the secretary of the Company's Vice president. 

She wasn't there in her previous life as Steve had convinced her not to go to work yet since they had just gotten married. Then, she didn't reason the fact that he was allowed to go and not her, she had always been a yes woman to him. 

"I'm sure those cheating bastards cheated at the interview. Well it's in their genes to cheat" 

She took a black purse to match her red and black attire and went out of the room. She slowly descended the stairs but stopped when she heard Steve's voice. 

"Is your Madam still asleep?" he asked Anna who immediately stopped what she was doing in order to reply him. 

"No, she's awake and preparing to go to work" 

"Work? Which work is she planning to go to?" He asked but it was more to himself than Anna. 

Talisa smirked as she already knew he was going to be on about how she should stay home and blah blah blah...

"So what's wrong with me going back to work? You are allowed to go and I'm not?" She replied him instead. 

Steve turned to her and was surprised to see she was even all dressed up. 

"Lisa, you know I'm saying this for your own good. You should take a rest for a few days before resuming work" 

The few days would eventually turn years  and until she died she didn't return to work. 

"Thanks for the care but I'm going back to work today. I have something important to do" She replied as she took her sit opposite him and Anna immediately rushed over with her breakfast. 

Steve stared at her with a mixed feeling, he knew something about her changed and he couldn't wait to find out what had happened. 

Talisa didn't even bother sparing him a glance until she finished her breakfast and got up. 

"I'll see you at work" She grabbed her purse and immediately walked out. Steve watched her until even her silhouette wasn't seen.

Talisa hummed "I'm happy" as she drove to the company. She was feeling excited by the whole rebirth thing that she didn't even seem bother but looking forward to how things will unfold. 

She felt her cellphone vibrate and immediately she connected it to the Car's speaker and picked up without even looking at the caller.

"Hello" 

"Hello? are you kidding me right now?" Talisa heard the familiar annoyed voice of her best friend, well ex best friend in her previous life because they broke up already, Steve's doing. 

"Lyn!" She was pleasantly surprised and happy to hear her friend's voice though. The lady had been cold to her after their broke up as though she never knew her.

Adalyn was having her breakfast when she decided to call her best friend who hadn't even called her since she had gotten married.

"Why were you so surprised to hear my voice? Don't tell me you are one of those married women who abandon their friends because of their husband?" 

Talisa giggles "No, I was surprised because I didn't check the caller. How are you doing? I'm really sorry for not calling you at all yesterday, I was going through some shit that I had actually forgotten I was supposed to call" She apologized even though she had lots of things to apologize for though. 

"You just got married and you are already going through shits, don't tell me Steve did something to you?" 

Talisa realized she was almost at the company and needed to hang up "Lyn, I need to hang up now. Let's meet when you are free" 

Adalyn dropped the fork she was eating with and replied excitedly "I'm free now, shall we meet?" It seemed like she was too curious to know what had happened than eating.  Talisa smiled "I'm sorry girlfriend,  but not this morning, i have things to take care of In the company" 

"Oh! I've forgotten not everyone is like me who does nothing all day. Okay sure, see you at night then" 

"Okay" Talisa hung up and at the same moment stopped the car as she had gotten to the entrance. She took her purse and alighted the car.  The employees were already there like they had been waiting to welcome her. 

"Congratulations on your wedding, President Thurnwald" She almost corrected them for changing her last name but decided against it. It wouldn't be long anyway. 

"Thanks for the greetings" She walked past them and into the building in order to go to her office. 

She took the exclusive elevator meant for only the President and the Vice and went straight for her office. She met her personal assistant waiting outside her office. 

"Tiana, why are you standing here?" She asked confused.

The lady named Tiana bowed to her boss "I was already informed of your arrival by the other secretaries so I was waiting until you came up" 

"You have something for me?" Talisa asked curiously. In her previous life, she hadn't come to the office and Tiana hadn't contacted her either which was obviously Steve's doing. He didn't want her to have anything doing with the company. He even Fired Tiana after making some excuses that she was misusing her authority so he had her fired. Of course that was a lie she had already knew since her past life but there was nothing she could do then as she was totally powerless.

"Did something happen while I was away?" She asked as she opened the door to her office, leaving Tiana to follow behind. 

"The Vice president told me yesterday that you wouldn't be resuming work when I asked of you yesterday. But I kept it just in case you came today. I already decided I was going to give it to him so he could pass it to you if you were absent today too" Tiana explained.

Talisa grew curious the more Tiana spoke "What is it?"
