Gianna POV

I waited anxiously outside Axel's office. He was with Dr. Gatlin; I tried listening to their conversation, but their voices were too low for me to hear anything through the door.

His office isn't soundproof, so why can't I hear them?! I thought angrily as I leaned my ears closer to the door; they were discussing about me.

“Gianna.” Axel called from inside.

His sudden voice startled me; I almost lost my footing as I hit my head against the door.

“You can come in,” Axel said.

I nervously stepped into Axel's office, and Dr. Gatlin sat down on a seat close to Axel, who was leaning on his desk with his arm crossed over his chest. Axel was putting on a blue button-up long sleeve that was tucked into his black suit pants; his suit jacket was left over the head of his seat. Every piece of clothing I have seen him wear looks good on him.

“For now, Dr. Gatlin and I have agreed that he is only going to be studying your blood.”

I sucked in a deep breath as I took notes of Axel's words
