It seemed things were about to get even more interesting.

Returning to her room, Tatiana retrieved a rope she had prepared earlier. She secured one end around herself and the other to the window, then climbed down the wall, swiftly landing in the villa's back garden.

She untied the rope, dashed to the fence, and with a powerful leap, she climbed to the top of it.

With a gentle push, she jumped over the fence and out of the Gold family villa. As she turned back to glance at the villa, her eyes met those of the black-clad men who had just arrived in the garden.

Tatiana smiled slyly, her lips moving as she said, "Bye-bye, losers."

With that, she turned and quickly left.

The men in black saw their target escaping and shouted, "Quick, chase her!”

Gold family mansion.

"You... you are Tatiana?"

Stefan's finger trembled as he pointed at the girl in front of him, his voice choked with emotion.

Tatiana stepped forward quickly, grasping his hand. Her heart swelled with emotion as she replied, her voice shaking, "Grandpa, it's me, Tatiana."

"Tatiana..."

Stefan studied Tatiana closely, noticing how her features mirrored those of his late daughter-in-law.

Memories of his deceased daughter-in-law flooded back, and he pulled Tatiana into a tight embrace, weeping sorrowfully.

Nestled in his arms, Tatiana listened to his anguished sobs, feeling as though her heart was being squeezed tightly, a mix of bittersweet pain flooding through her.

In this world, the only ones who cared for the original owner, aside from her mother, was her grandfather.

After her mother's passing, the original owner's greatest wish before her death had been to ensure her grandfather could enjoy his later years in peace.

How similar they were.

In her own world, the only person who truly cared for her was her grandfather.

She couldn't help but wonder if her sudden departure would weigh heavily on this old man. Would he, like Ralph, shed tears for her?

Tatiana, lost in her thoughts, tightly embraced her grandfather and began to sob softly.

The two of them held each other, pouring out their shared sorrow and joy, creating a rare moment of warmth in the atmosphere.

Stefan was a significant figure in the business world, admired and respected by countless people.

Yet, his greatest vulnerability was the untimely death of his granddaughter. The loss of both his daughter-in-law and granddaughter had left him emotionally drained.

But now, his granddaughter had returned, and there had to be more to this story.

Soon, he regained his composure and gently asked, "Tatiana, didn’t your father say you were heartbroken and had fallen into the sea? How could you suddenly come back? Is there something going on?"

Tatiana sat up from his embrace. Seeing the coldness in his eyes, she wiped her tears and recounted everything: the torment from her stepmother, the injustices at home, and more.

As Stefan listened, his once-kind expression darkened, and his gaze grew colder.

"I came to find you today because my stepmother's daughter has leukemia and wants me to donate my bone marrow. I didn’t want to do it, so she tried to kidnap me to force my compliance. I had no choice but to come to you

for help..."

After Tatiana finished her last sentence, Stefan was completely enraged. He slammed his hand on the table, standing up furiously, and shouted, "Shameless! Absolutely shameless!

How dare they treat you like this! Do they not respect me at all?!"

She noticed Stefan's face turning red with anger and worried that his intense emotions might be too much for his heart to handle.

She quickly got up, took his hand, and gently reassured him, "Grandpa, please don’t get upset. I'm fine now. You should please calm down”.

Stefan shook his head, signaling her not to worry, but he followed her lead and settled back onto the sofa.

Looking at Tatiana's stunning features, he sighed softly and said, "Ah, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have let Camille into our family just because of Anna. It nearly cost you your life.”

Isabelle Knight had always been devoted to her husband Dominic, who had watched Tatiana grow up.

Although she was a bit slow as a child and not as bright as other kids, Stefan loved her dearly.

After her passing, Tatiana disappeared as well, leaving him frantic. Dominic claimed that Tatiana was heartbroken over her mother's death and had jumped into the sea.

Stefan didn't believe it; he was convinced that Camile was responsible for Tatiana's disappearance.

For years, he relentlessly searched for her and refused to let Camile into the Gold family.

Years went by, and Tatiana remained missing.

Anna, eager to marry into the Constantine family, begged him to allow her mother to join the Gold family.

Unable to bear seeing his son so pitiful, he reluctantly agreed.

But today, he learned that his beloved granddaughter had indeed fallen victim to Camille's schemes.

Tatiana shook her head and replied, “Grandpa, it’s not your fault. I was foolish and couldn’t see Camille’s true, malicious nature. After this ordeal, I’ve come to understand everyone better.”

Though she said this to ease his worries, the truth was that her childhood foolishness stemmed from a dark incident when she was just one year old.

Left alone at home, Camille had secretly poisoned her, intending to kill her. However, her incessant crying alerted the family’s butler, who managed to save her in time.

Unfortunately, the poisoning had left its mark, causing her brain development to lag behind

her peers, making her appear slow and foolish.

Now that she had returned and rid herself of the poison, her health was restored.

Stefan's expression softened slightly at her words, but as he recalled the cruel acts of Camile and her daughter, a fierce glint flashed in his eyes. He coldly stated, “It’s generous of you to think that way, but remember, they tried to take your life. I can’t let them off easily!”

Looking at his granddaughter’s swollen eyes, Stefan tightly grasped her hand, his tone resolute. “Tatiana, remember this: when dealing with those who wish to harm you, you must never show mercy! Whatever they say, they deserve every bit of it. Grandpa will always stand behind you!”

Tatiana felt a jolt in her heart at his words, deeply moved. She smiled gently and replied, "I understand. Thank you, Grandpa."

"Don't be silly, my dear. No need to thank your grandpa,"

Stefan chuckled, pulling his long-lost granddaughter into a warm embrace. His voice, filled with love, carried the weight of his years. "Even if your fatherdoesn't love you, remember that your mother and grandpa will always love you the most!"

"Granddaughter will remember that.”

Three days later—The first thing Tatiana saw when she opened her eyes was a blanket of white. Turning toward the noise, she saw Maxim walking in.When Maxim saw Tatiana awake and looking at him, he felt a rush of excitement. He quickly approached her and asked,"You’re finally awake! How do you feel? Is there anywhere that still hurts?"Tatiana slowly shook her head, wanting to speak, but her throat was dry and raspy. Instead, she looked at Maxim, hoping he would understand that she needed water.Fortunately, Maxim got the hint. He smiled at her and hurried over to pour a glass of warm water. After helping her drink, Tatiana felt a wave of relief wash over her. "I’m fine. How long was I out?""Three days," Maxim replied, his eyes filled with an emotion she couldn't quite place.Emo

With that thought, Riley quickly left those people behind.Tatiana, on the other hand, was unaware of Riley's situation. She stood facing the assassin in front of her, her expression icy."Miss, we hope you can leave this place. We don't want to harm you; we just need you to leave that man behind. We assure you, you can leave here safely."These people had been here for a long time, trying to persuade Tatiana to leave. Their boss had ordered that she couldn't be harmed, but they couldn't understand why this woman refused to budge. They had been standing there for what felt like ages.Realizing that convincing Tatiana was futile, the leader turned his attention to Mazim. "Maxim, are you still a man? Hiding behind a woman?”Maxim pressed his hand against his shoulder, his face pale from blood loss. He managed a weak smile and replied, "Better than being unprotected like you."Though he said that, deep down, he hoped Tatiana would leave soon. He didn't know how long they could mainta

Crushing the herbs and applying them to the wound, then bandaging it up was all she could do for now. After tending to his injury, he looked at Tatiana and said, "You need to get out of here quickly. They’re not after you, and they won’t chase you. Find a way back and get someone to rescue me."Tatiana replied, "By then, it won’t be about saving you; it’ll just be about collecting your body."Seeing Maxim’s pale face, Tatiana insisted, "I’m not leaving. It was my idea to come here, and I won’t just abandon you.""Why are you being so foolish?" Maxim's lips curled into a slight smile. In such a dire situation, all he wanted was for Tatiana to leave. She was the girl he liked, and he wanted her to be safe, away from this suffering. But why, upon realizing she wouldn’t leave, did he feel even more touched and reluctant to let her go?"I’m not foolish. I’m with you, and we’re married—even if it’s just pretend. We’re friends, right?" Tatiana said, helping Maxim to his feet as they slowly

Moreover, John had sent someone to wait for them so early. If they hadn't arrived earlier, and had waited until later to come, things would have been even more complicated. With these thoughts in mind, Maxim felt even more determined. Once they were out of here, he would make sure to pull John down from his position as soon as possible. Someone like him didn’t deserve to be in the company. He believed that his grandfather would never allow such a person to be part of the company either. The next morning, sunlight streamed through the leaves, casting bright rays that pierced Tatiana's eyes. She blinked a few times, slowly waking up.As she looked around, her mind began to piece together the events of the previous day. "The place ahead is Sylvia's home. Do you think they might not be looking for us and instead have gone to kill them?""No way, these assassins are all managed by someone. They only target their assignments and won't harm anyone else, so we need to protect ourselves first." Tatiana said this without a hint of hesitation, but then she realized that as a young lady, she probably shouldn't know about such things.Thinking this, Tatiana cautiously glanced at Maxim. His expression didn’t seem strange, so he likely hadn’t caught on to what she was implying. With that thought, she quietly sighed in relief; otherwise, she would have to find a way to explain everything, which would only complicate matters. She didn’t want Maxim to get dragged into this mess. With that in mind, Tatiana said, "Let’s stop talking about this and get out of here. We can’t stay for long, and we can’t be sure they won’t come back.”As she spoke, she tugged on Maxim's shirt and led him toward the exit. However, as she
