I Love You

Selene’s POV

Elias Knight didn’t waste time.

“Miss Selene,” he said, flashing that signature half-smile that could undo most women in a heartbeat, “your work with the Vale didn’t just make them number one in New York—it made them number one in the States.”

He leaned in slightly, voice low and confident. “I’m building something here. A casino empire. And I need someone who knows what they’re doing. Someone like you. I was wondering if you'd consider joining me… I think we could make magic happen.”

Elias Knight—asking me to work with him. It would’ve been foolish to say no.

Not to mention—he had that look. Dangerous, magnetic, sharp as sin. A man born for midnight deals and velvet-gloved power plays.

By the end of that meeting, I agreed. He offered me three times what the Vale ever did. And more importantly… he offered me respect.

I was grateful. No—empowered.

Exactly one week after Adrian Vale’s engagement party, I set foot in England.

Only then did it finally hit me— This was my cle

Selene’s POVAnd of course, the Vales would’ve heard. So I wasn’t surprised when I saw Adrian at the Knight Casino days later. What did surprise me—was how worn down he looked. He didn’t carry the glow of his past. Not even close.I passed him without a second glance. But as I walked past— He reached out. His hand closed gently around my wrist. “Selene.”I ripped my arm back instantly. “Don’t touch me.”His eyes flinched—like I’d struck him. A flicker of sadness passed through them. Surprise, too.“Long time no see,” he murmured, his voice quieter than I remembered. “How have you been?”I looked him in the eye, steady and unshaken. How have I been? Better. Stronger. Finally free. “I’m good,” I said simply, lifting a brow. “You?”His jaw flexed. “All good. The Vale… they’re fine. Mr. and Mrs. Vale too.”Then—silence. Thick, heavy. Full of everything we didn’t say.Adrian broke it first. “I didn’t marry Elara in the end,” he said quietly, almost like it hurt to admit. “Thought you might

  • Reborn and Left My Mafia Ex Begging   She wasn’t Wring

Adrian’s POVTears welled in her eyes. “Why are you yelling at me? Over something so small? Adrian—we just got engaged, and this is how you treat me?”“She was just—just Selene,” she said, her voice rising. “She was nobody. Why can’t I throw away a nobody’s things? I’m your fiancée. I’m Mrs. Vale. Isn’t that what matters?”I stared at her for a long, bitter second. “Nobody?” I said, the word like ash in my mouth. “Selene has done more for this family than most who carry its name. She is not a nobody to the Vales. Not now. Not ever. Do I make myself clear?”Elara blinked rapidly, like she couldn’t quite process what I’d just said. Her voice came out thin, trembling at first—but she quickly found her edge.“Adrian, you chose me. You told your father to get Selene out of the Vale casino entirely. So why are you throwing all of this on me now? Why are you acting like this is my fault?”And she wasn’t wrong. It was me. I had made the choice. I picked Elara. I was the one who stood before my

Adrian’s POVA longer silence followed. Then—“Yes. It was her.”I stood completely still.“I don’t know how she managed to drag you out,” Father said, his voice low, almost like a confession. “By the time she found me, she could barely stand. Her legs were covered in blood. But she made me promise not to tell you.”“Why?” I asked, already knowing the answer.“Because she wanted things to be fair,” he said. “She knew how girls around you competed—how a single moment of sympathy could change everything. She didn’t want that rescue to become her winning card. She said if she were to be chosen, it should be for who she was, not because she saved your life.”He paused, then added, quieter, “Your mother and I… we always believed Selene was the one. Not just because of what she had achieved at our casino. But because even as a child, she understood what it meant to be noble. To be strong. To be good. She would’ve stood in front of you when danger came. That’s what we wanted for you. Someone w

  • Reborn and Left My Mafia Ex Begging   Reborn

Adrian’s POVI had been reborn. I didn’t know how. One moment, I was dying. The next, I opened my eyes and found myself back in a twentieth body. And there was my father, staring at me just like he had before. His words were exactly the same.“Choose between Selene Moray and Elara Quinn. Whichever one you pick… she will be your wife.”Last time, I’d done what he wanted. I’d chosen Selene. She was the smart choice. Sharp. Steady. Kind. And yet… my heart had always belonged to Elara.I regretted it, every single day in my past life. Elara died on a mission before I ever had the chance to make things right. This time, I swore I’d do better. I wouldn’t just blindly obey. I’d choose Elara. I’d give her the happy ending she never got.And to my surprise, Selene… she wasn’t the same either. In the past, she had always smiled at me. Even when we fought—and we did—she’d always come back, always be the one to break first. But now? Now she looked at me like I was the villain in her story. And a s

Selene’s POVDinner came and went. Mr. Vale delivered his toast. Then, just as I expected, Elara caught my eye and gave a subtle nod.It was time. She handed me the microphone with a smile so bright it nearly burned.I stepped onto the stage. Straightened my spine. And faced the glittering crowd.“I’m honored to be standing here tonight,” I began, voice steady. “I’ve known Adrian and Elara nearly all my life. Seeing them find their way to each other… it’s a rare kind of magic. Elara is, without a doubt, the perfect woman for Adrian. They’re magnetic. Undeniable. It was always meant to be.”I had barely finished that sentence when a mocking voice rang out from the crowd.“So why are you still here, Selene? Jealousy doesn’t suit you.”Another chuckled, louder. “Isn’t she supposed to be gone by now? Wasn’t the whole reason she stayed with the Vale to win Adrian’s hand?”“I bet she just didn’t want to lose the lifestyle,” a woman in the front row added, her voice dripping venom. “Her fathe
