LOGINLuna's POV
“You have to live a life that isn't yours, for the moon goddess has granted you a second chance. There will be turmoils, and there will be troubles. But they are all tests.”
“Luna!” Someone screamed in my head, and
I frowned, with my eyes still closed. The voice in my head seemed like a dream. I remembered talking to someone that seemed like a light. She was pretty, with white hair.
She spoke about a second chance.
Something pricked my shoulder, and droplets of liquid landed on my head in sync. That forced me to get up immediately.
My eyes were wide, taking in my surroundings. I was in…the woods. But that was the least of my problems.
I was alive.
I ran my hands through my cold skin, with my heart beating rapidly in my chest. I was wrapped in damp rags, and my hair was sticking to my face. What happened to the hospital gown? That was where I died, right?
The memory of everything that happened at the hospital came back slowly, and I couldn't get past the thought that Damon was the one holding the syringe. They both watched me die.
I managed to stand up, looking for some possible explanation for whatever had happened. As I looked down at my body, I knew that it was wasn't mine. The hips were a lot wider, and my hands looked slightly bigger as well. I was taller. This body wasn't mine.
I heard the snap of broken twigs, making me look up immediately. I looked around in a panic, taking in the sight of wolves that had already surrounded me. I slowly took a step back, wincing in pain as one of the twigs pricked my foot.
I was barely breathing as one of the big wolves with black fur trotted towards me, sniffing. His eyes were fixed on my wrist, and he seemed to freeze before slowly backing away. He turned back to look at me one more time, and I felt a strange connecting to him. The other wolves followed him, and I finally exhaled. A shiver ran through my spine, and I looked around one more time, trying to figure out where I was going to go. If there was one thing I knew, it was that I wasn't going back to my pack. I wasn't going to anywhere that was going to bring me close to Damon and Lila. But I didn't even know where the hell I was.
My whole body was humming with adrenaline as I took a step further, calling for help. Even my voice was different, but I was going to figure that out later. I first had to find my way.
Just as I continued to walk further to the east, I heard another snap.
“Stop!” Someone suddenly screamed, and I was made to stop, with my two hands in the air. I was immediately surrounded by men in dark uniforms, fully geared. They were patrol men from another pack. Their uniforms told me everything.
They walked towards me, slowly like I was going to do something funny.
My mind was working a thousand times faster. I was already weighing the chances of trusting them, or being arrested by them if they thought I was an invader.
“Who are you?” One of them asked, as he slowly approached me. I wasn't even given the chance to speak, as he ran up to me, holding my wrists behind me as he forced me to my knees.
“I'm not an invader!” I screamed, and that managed to make him stop in his tracks.
“Luna?” He asked, and I froze, wondering how he even knew my name. But I nodded, swallowing hard.
“Yes, it's me. Please, you have to help me. I can't have my ex-husband finding me. He must be out there looking for me with my sister.”
They looked among themselves like I was mad.
For some reason, I knew that I was safe.
“Alpha has been looking for you,” another one said, and I frowned. Who the fuck was their Alpha?
“No,” I said immediately. “You have to help me first.”
They were more than joyful at the sight of me. I knew that I hadn't seen them at any point in my life. So who the hell were they?
“You have to come with us before the Elder Council arranges a wedding with someone else for the Alpha.”
“You've got it all mistaken, I'm not your Alpha's wife,” I said in my new voice that sounded weird but perfectly subtle, but they didn't even listen as one of them carried me in bridal style.
I kicked my feet that were already hurting, but his grip was strong. He wasn't even paying me any heed. He looked back at the others.
There was no way that I was going to run away from a group of men. They would hunt me down within seconds. My eyelids were already starting to close again, and I could only hope that I wasn't walking right into another trap.
“The Alpha is going to lose his mind when he sees her alive,” he said, making the others laugh and that's the last thing I hear before losing my consciousness in the guard's arms.

The reflection staring back at me wasn't me.
After waking up in a luxurious room, the first thing I wanted to do was take a look at myself. I managed to find my way into one of the bathrooms, and the luxury almost threw me off. Yes, Damon's pack was wealthy as well, but it was definitely nothing compared to this. I felt safe for a second. They wouldn't have kept me here if they thought I was some kind of invader. I just had to dedicate the time to explain that I wasn't their Alpha's wife.
It was still hard to believe that I was alive. And now that I was staring at the mirror, clad in clean clothes, I was more than shocked.
My hair was dark, and this one was blonde. These features were sharper. Bolder.
I didn't have my brown eyes anymore. I was now staring back at blue frosty ones. My hands flew to my mouth immediately. I was shaking all over.
“What is this?” I whispered.
“Your second chance,” a voice in my head whispered. “You are now Alara.”
“Alara,” I whispered, with the name rolling off my tongue perfectly. “But how?” I whispered again, when I heard the door slowly open.
“Are you awake, love?” A soft voice asked from outside, making me freeze.
Luna's POV. Something was terribly wrong. It had been days since I started living here as Alara. I still didn't know what I was supposed to do, but Alara's mate didn't come to see me like he would do for his mate who just returned after a few years. He was even more cold towards me. But that gave me time to learn more about Alara. She was the opposite of me. She was bold, charming, and a people person. “Do you remember anything before you went missing?” I asked, and she was silent for a while. It was nice having someone that I could talk to in my head. At least she kept me company while the others left me to heal. “Nothing,” she whispered. She was weak, and so was I. My feet that were injured in the woods hadn't healed yet. That wasn't normal. A knock came at the door, and I sat up. “Come in,” I said loud enough, and the person walked in. It was a young girl dressed in a maid's uniform. She held a small tray in her hand, giving me the widest smile I've ever seen anyone give. I di
Ryder's PovShe wasn't Alara. I could tell from across the room. Everything was the same. From her features, to her scent. It was even more overpowering. But something was wrong. The way she looked at me. The chills that I could feel emanating from her. I could smell the fear all over her. Alara would never be scared of me.“Ryder!” Someone called out, and I couldn't help but frown. Thyri was the only one that would call my by my name, and I was avoiding her more than anything. She was the last person that I wanted around me. “What is it this time?” I asked, and she pouted, cocking her head to the side. Her rich brat attitude was starting to get to me, and I didn't know how long it was going to be until I lost my cool. “Acting like that when you just sent me from sealing an alliance isn't right, you know. I definitely deserve some kind of appreciation.”“You just played a part in the pack. It's nothing special. I could have sent someone else in your place.”She seemed hurt for a se
Luna's POVI remained frozen in the bathroom, refusing to say a word. I was forced to open, when someone softly knocked. A petite woman with similar blonde hair smiled at me, and I was forced to think if she was somehow related to Alara- this person that I was supposed to be living as. I didn't know who had the voice in my head, and I wanted to just know more about it. Only if I had some more time alone. “I'm glad nothing happened to you,” the woman said, touching my cheek. I was forced to smile, compensating for the flinch that I did reflexively.“You don't have to worry,” she whispered. “The other pack members want to meet you. Just like me, they are having a hard time believing that you have returned, completely untouched.”She took my hand, leading me outside the room. That was when I felt the pain in my feet, from when I was in the woods. It was already wrapped up and bandaged perfectly. “What's your name?” I asked, and she frowned. “Diane,” she ended up saying. She slowly p

My head was hurting by the time I woke up again. The room was dimly lit, and the machines were making noises around me. I wanted to tell them to shut it off so badly, but I couldn't. Nothing was more tiring than waking up to white bedsheets wrapped around my torso. I had come to the hospital for treatment. At least that's what Damon, my husband had been telling me the whole time. I was told that I was involved in an accident that I couldn't remember for some reason. After I woke up, I had been stuck to the hospital bed, unable to move, with no memory coming forth. Damon was my husband, Alpha of Rockwood pack. Things had been strained between the both of us, and I was being blamed by the whole pack for not being able to give him a child the whole time. Damon was more than understanding, and we were both going to seek treatment. I just had to get out of the hospital first. I didn't even mind adopting a pup. I tried to focus on anything except the beeping beside me. I heard raised voi
