Aria’s POV

“I remember when you couldn’t even look at me without flinching,” he said, half-smiling. “You used to avoid me like I carried the plague.”

I laughed softly, though a part of me winced at the truth of it.

“Well, to be fair, you did have that intimidating air around you.”

He raised a brow, amused. “Intimidating?”

“Brooding,” I corrected, grinning faintly. “Always brooding, always quiet. You looked like you were judging everyone in your head.”

He chuckled, a deep, warm sound that carried through the still night.

“Maybe I was,” he said lightly. “But you, you judged me too, didn’t you?”

I turned to him, meeting his gaze. “Yes,” I admitted. “I did. I resented you, actually. You were everything I didn’t want to be near. Authority. Control. Command.” I paused, my throat tightening. “You reminded me too much of what I lost. Of what power can destroy.”

He didn’t interrupt. He just watched me, his eyes dark and steady, like he was memorizing every word.

“I thought you were like them

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    I have a plan. A perfect plan.

Aria’s POV“Thank you for being here,” I added, voice breaking slightly. “For standing beside me when I didn’t even know how to trust anyone anymore.”His eyes softened even more, the corners of his mouth lifting just slightly. And in that moment, with the scent of lilies still in the air and the morning sun rising behind him, I realized how rare it was to have someone like him. Hi rare it was to have someone who didn’t demand my trust, but quietly earned it.Eros gave a small smile, one of those rare, unguarded ones that made his eyes seem lighter. For a moment, the tension of the morning eased, and the world felt still again. Then, remembering what we still had to do, I cleared my throat softly.“So,” I said, brushing a strand of hair from my face, “did your plan work out? The one about sending Ronan and Lowell away?”A slow grin tugged at his mouth. “Yes,” he said, stepping back slightly, his arms crossing loosely over his chest. “I told Lowell and Ronan I needed them to handle

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    Thank you for everything

Aria’s POVThe sight of it stopped me cold.It sat beneath the old willow tree, the one that always seemed to sigh with the wind. The stone was simple, yet so heartbreakingly elegant, with her name carved in soft silver letters that glinted faintly under the sun. Around it, the flowers the pack members had planted still bloomed, a mixture of white lilies and moon blossoms that seemed to shimmer even in daylight.I felt my throat tighten. The memories came unbidden, her gentle smile, how she helped me plan Eros’s birthday, the way she used to hum when tending to the herb garden, the night we’d spoken about Ronan. Everything!“Cassia-” I whispered, my voice cracking as I walked closer. “I should’ve protected you. I should've...”My knees gave way, and I sank down beside the grave, my fingers tracing the letters of her name as tears began to sting my eyes. They slipped free before I could stop them, warm trails cutting down my cheeks.“You didn’t deserve this,” I murmured, choking on the

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    Beside her grave

Aria’s POVShe stepped into view, her expression bright, a lazy smile curving her lips. Her hair was loose around her shoulders, her silk robe slightly untied, as though she’d just thrown it on in a hurry. For a moment, everything inside me went still. She came from the same direction Ronan had just walked out of. What could I make out of it?My gaze darted between them, my heartbeat thudding in my chest. “Elara,” I said slowly. Her face lit up when she saw me. “Aria!” she squealed, almost too cheerfully, rushing toward me. “You’re up so early! You should be resting after all the stress from yesterday.”She looped her arm through mine with practiced ease, her perfume filling the space between us. That overly sweet scent of jasmine and rose that now made me slightly nauseous.“What were you doing so early?” I asked lightly, though my tone carried just enough curiosity to make her pause.“Oh, me?” She laughed, her voice lilting in that airy, girlish way she used when she wanted to soun

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    She appeared from nowhere

Aria’s POVHis handwriting was clean, firm, and deliberate.‘Good morning, my Luna. Didn’t want to wake you. I had to handle a few things before everyone’s up. Drink your coffee, it’s how I like it, but sweeter for you. See you soon. -Eros. P.S. I love you.’ My heart melted instantly. A blush crept across my face before I could stop it. I pressed the note to my chest, a smile tugging at my lips.‘I love you.’The words echoed in my mind, and for a moment, I let myself savor it. But then reality returned, heavy and cold. There was still work to do. The cameras. The distractions. And now, the part of the plan I hated most, sending Elara out of this pack for a while.I got up, dressed quickly, and made my way down the corridor to Elara’s room. When I reached her door, I knocked softly but there was no answer.I knocked again, louder this time. Still nothing.A strange feeling crept into my chest. I turned the handle and pushed the door open slowly. The room was neat, the bed looked

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    A note from my mate

Aria’s POVMy voice caught before I managed to nod. “Yes... I think I will.”He gestured toward the bathroom. “Everything you need is there.”I thanked him quietly and slipped inside, closing the door behind me. The moment the latch clicked, I leaned against it and exhaled shakily, pressing a hand against my chest. My pulse hadn’t slowed since he’d carried me in here. Maybe since this evening. The bathroom was dimly lit, filled with the faint scent of eucalyptus and sandalwood. The marble tub gleamed beneath the soft light. I turned the tap and watched the water rise, steam curling in lazy ribbons around me.When I finally slid in, the warmth embraced me instantly, soothing my tense muscles. But my mind… my mind was anything but calm.I couldn’t stop thinking about him, I couldn’t stop thinking about the way his arms had felt around me, the strength in them, the gentleness behind it. The way his eyes had softened when he looked at me, like I was the only thing in the world that mat

  • Reborn for the Lycan king    The unexpected question in his room

Aria’s POVEros was standing right there, in front of my door, and that made me realize that all these I was inside he hadn’t left. His eyes met mine, deep and unreadable, and for a heartbeat, the world went silent again. The hall’s dim light painted his features in soft gold, the sharp line of his jaw, the steady rise and fall of his chest, the faint curl at the corner of his lips that hinted he’d expected this.My voice tangled somewhere between my heart and my throat. “You... you’re still here,” I stammered, my hands still clutching his arms for balance.A faint smile curved his lips, slow and knowing. “I knew you wanted to tell me something,” he said quietly, his tone a mix of amusement and warmth. The air between us thickened. His hands were still around my waist, firm but gentle, and the heat from his touch seemed to seep through the thin fabric of my nightdress. I couldn’t bring myself to move away.“I...” My words tangled again. My mouth felt dry. “I was going to ask if I c
