RYDER'S POV

I stirred and opened my eyes. I looked around disoriented for a second before I realized I was in my room. I sprang up, my eyes slightly going wide. “Why am I sleeping when things are going wrong?” I immediately rushed out of the bed. I grabbed the door handle, ready to dash out, but I froze. “That's right, it all ended yesterday,” I muttered calmly as it dawned on me.

My fingers slowly released the door handle. I walked over to my bed and sat down, lowering my face into my hand. A heavy sigh escaped my throat. For a second, I just sat there and thought about what had happened and what would happen from now on.

I looked at the window. The dim light of the morning was gradually coming through, but it wasn't strong enough to cover the darkness. The entire pack was still quiet as everyone still slept peacefully, but my mind wasn't at peace. I ignored my phone on the bedside table, threw on some gym clothes, and was out of the door.
